"You're saying you want to become part of Hozuki Castle?"
Mui looked at the group of Ninja from the Land of Grass before him, which even included several Jonin from Kusagakure. A sneer crept onto his lips.
"Yes, Lord Mui. We're all willing to submit to you. If you wish, we could even rally behind you and make you the Grass Shadow!"
An Elite Jonin from Kusagakure looked at Mui. Though angered by his attitude, the threat of death still made him lower his head in a show of submission.
"Rally behind me and make me the Grass Shadow?"
"I think you just want me to face Uchiha Chisen from Konoha in your place!"
Mui's sneer deepened. He was neither a fool nor deaf. In fact, he understood these people from Kusagakure better than anyone. With everything that had happened recently in the Land of Grass, how could he possibly fail to see through their intentions?
"If you can keep Uchiha Chisen outside Hozuki Castle, Lord Mui, wouldn't that prove you're strong enough to become a village's Kage?"
"Besides, Lord Mui, we've already sent Ninja to Konoha."
"Given how many years Kusagakure and Konoha have been allies, once Konoha learns that Uchiha Chisen has killed so many people in Kusagakure, they'll certainly send someone to stop him."
"You might not even have to fight Uchiha Chisen, Lord Mui. You only need to stall until reinforcements from Konoha arrive."
The leading Grass Ninja looked at Mui with feigned respect. Judging by his expression alone, it almost seemed as though he truly had Mui's best interests at heart.
"I'm afraid that before Konoha's reinforcements arrive, I'll already have died at Uchiha Chisen's hands, lord of Hozuki Castle or not!"
But Mui merely scoffed at the Grass
