She switched ninja tools, digging an iron ball wrapped in oiled paper out of the bottom of her pouch.
The iron ball was small, about five centimeters across, with a pitted surface. It looked like something scavenged from a scrapyard.
But Guy recognized it. This was a prototype Tenten had made herself. She had tested it once at the training ground and never used it again because it was "too powerful to control."
"I'll use this to clear a path for you." Tenten hefted the iron ball in her palm. "Its chakra jets follow a pattern. After each burst, the openings close for about half a second before opening again.
"I'll send the iron ball into the largest opening at the very center of the dome during its next half-second closure.
"The iron ball will explode inside the opening and destroy the dozen or so openings around it at the same time.
"That area will stop firing for a few seconds afterward. You go up during those few seconds."
"How are you going to get that iron ball up there?" Tide had stood nearby listening to their entire plan before finally cutting in.
The seawater had soaked through the tape holding the crack in his mask together. Half of it had peeled loose and flapped in the wind. "That thing keeps firing high-pressure air columns. A kunai would get knocked away before it reached the dome."
"I'm not throwing a kunai." Tenten tore the oiled paper off the iron ball, exposing its pitted metal surface.
Extremely fine chakra-guiding lines covered the metal.
