Du Bai helped Zheng Datong claim the Fire Demon Lord as his third soul ring, then used a bandit ambush to train Zheng Datong and his companions in combat. Yu Chenglong’s battle against the Meteor Hammer bandit was still unfolding as the stretch ended.

• Du Bai gave the Golden Spirit Fruits to his companions and agreed to help Zheng Datong hunt the Fire Monkey, also known as the Fire Demon Lord.
• Du Bai led Zheng Datong and their friends to the Fire Demon Lord, where he asserted his Titled Douluo status and secured the beast for Zheng Datong.
• Zheng Datong absorbed the Fire Demon Lord’s soul ring, reached level thirty-four, and carried the beast’s remains to bury beside the Golden Scaled Flood Dragon.
• Seven bandits surrounded the group, but Du Bai restrained them and arranged for Zheng Datong, Sun Meilan, Yu Chenglong, and Lin Yuchun to practice their skills against them.
• Zheng Datong used Fire Demon Lord’s Frenzied Dance against the Bandit Leader, and Du Bai stopped the leader when he prepared a fatal attack.

• Lin Yucun lost his fight against the stronger Ghost Wolf Bandit Soul Master, then apologized to his companions and vowed to become stronger.
• Du Bai discovered Dugu Bo hiding nearby, and Dugu Bo revealed his Jade Phosphor Serpent Emperor before poisoning the group and confronting Du Bai.
