Chapter 64
In the room, another person sat with a Blue Hood concealing his face. His posture was reserved and shy, and he held a cup of hot coffee. He seemed embarrassed to have broken into someone else's home and still been treated politely, repeatedly apologizing to the butler Alfred.
"Who is the other one? Someone with special abilities like him?"
Suspicious, Batman quietly returned to his room, changed into casual clothes, and appeared at the entrance to the second-floor sitting room.
After seeing David's whole body radiate energy and the destruction caused by a single punch that day, he no longer believed David was hiding some technological device on him.
If technology had reached that point, Wayne Enterprises would have gone out of business long ago.
"Master."
After pushing open the door and entering the room, Bruce nodded to Alfred. He had just been about to speak and make one final attempt to probe whether the other party had truly confirmed his identity.
"You were too slow."
David stood up with a frown. He had long noticed Batman spying through the window, but had not exposed him.
After all, he had already broken into the man's home. Dragging him in through the window too would have been rather impolite.
"Mr. Bruce Wayne, can you tell me where the Lazarus Pit is?"
"What Lazarus Pit?"
Bruce frowned. He had never heard that name before.
"Where in the Middle East is the headquarters of the League of Assassins where you trained?"
Seeing that Bruce Wayne's confusion did not seem feigned, David quickly changed his question. Perhaps Batman did not yet know about the Lazarus Pit at this point, but it did not matter. It was at the League of Assassins' headquarters anyway.
"Training? The League of Assassins?"
Bruce's expression shifted slightly.
