Finding Friends

Halfway through the barbecue, Hinata was suddenly overwhelmed by sorrow and nearly burst into tears.

Just look at the people eating at the same table as her!

A fat shut-in, a lazy bum, and a wannabe punk with paint on his face.

From the Hyuga Clan's diplomatic perspective, there was nothing wrong with making friends with these three brats. After all, they were all heirs to major clans.

In the Original Story, Hinata had been a useless young lady. It was understandable that she had been quiet and withdrawn.

But in this life, Hinata was a genius young lady, so why could she still not make even one close girlfriend?!

They could kiss and hug together, share their deepest secrets, go to the bathroom together, and even bathe together and do embarrassing things.

Hinata ground her teeth in hatred. If not for that damn Sasuke, why would she, a young lady of her stature, have no close girlfriends and even be collectively excluded by the girls?

Hinata secretly decided that for the next year's taijutsu classes, she would challenge Sasuke to spar every time.

If she did not beat Sasuke until he wailed for his mother, she would write the name Hinata backward.

After finishing the barbecue, Hinata jogged back to the academy, intending to pick out a girl to become her close girlfriend.

Hinata was furious!

She was already in third grade, yet she had spent three years hanging around with the boys. It was simply tragic.

First, she would find a close girlfriend. Then they could go shopping together on weekends, and perhaps soak in hot springs together as well.

Hinata's blood boiled, and her heart filled with fighting spirit.

Tenten, who was a year above Hinata, seemed like a good candidate. And Tenten seemed to like Neji, so Hinata could make use of that connection.

But since they were not in the same grade, many things would be inconvenient.

Stopping before them, Hinata said with a sweet smile, "Actually! I do not like Sasuke at all, and Sasuke and I could never be together. His surname is Uchiha, and mine is Hyuga. Those two surnames are enemies by nature."

"Sasuke only challenged me because he sees me as a rival."

Hearing Hinata's words, Ino and Sakura's expressions eased slightly. Ino demanded, "What is your purpose in telling us this?"

Hinata sat beside them and smiled sweetly. "Have you heard this saying? The person who understands you best is not your friend, but your enemy."

"Sasuke and I are enemies, so I understand him very well!"

Ino and Sakura exchanged a glance. Ino said, "Then tell us first!"

"Fine!"
