Night.
Jin jumped down from his room's window.
"Little White."
At his call, Little White, its bead-like eyes peeking out from his collar, wriggled free.
He had left a tracking mark on White Fang.
A few words alone would never be enough to report him.
He needed solid evidence.
To that end, he had specifically worked out a ninjutsu for preserving evidence earlier.
"Little White, where did he go?"
Jin asked.
Little White extended its tail, first sniffing with its completely invisible nose before using its tail to point Jin in a direction.
Jin followed Little White's guidance.
"Once I have something on you, let's see how you keep provoking me."
Jin gritted his teeth. The other man's behavior felt like a provocation.
Usually, he was the one who did this sort of thing.
But acting that way required strength.
Without enough strength, he would end up like this.
But once he had leverage, things might be different.
Following Little White's directions, Jin wandered through the city streets.
Yet as he looked at the tightly shuttered shops and the empty roads devoid of people,
Jin's brow furrowed slightly.
Did this city really have anywhere to drink and enjoy women?
After circling around for quite a while,
Jin fell silent as he looked at the place before him.
"Little White."
Little White looked at him with its bead-like eyes and tilted its head in confusion.
"Why did you circle back here again?"
Little White looked up at the inn in front of them and scratched its head with the tip of its tail.
It didn't know this place.
To it, all places looked more or less the same.
Jin sighed. He should have known better than to place his hopes on this little stupid snake.
Little White's intelligence was rather tragic.
