Background

Jin was born into the Uchiha Clan and lost both parents at a young age. Their inheritance included extensive Fūinjutsu materials and a diary revealing that they belonged to a radical Uchiha line which had contemplated using the Nine-Tails to secure the Hokage position. Jin studied their seals obsessively, using them as the basis for his first Chakra Inner Cultivation method. 1

Initially known as an Uchiha failure, he failed a Ninja Academy exam and was mocked by fellow clan members and younger children. He remained notably unmoved by the ridicule, though his inability to use Ninjutsu and the restrictions of his Golden Finger frustrated him. 1 2

At the Academy, Jin entered Class A despite his poor reputation and met Minato Namikaze. He later shared Basic Inner Cultivation with Minato and Kushina Uzumaki, discovering that their progress generated knowledge which improved his own deduction capacity. 2 5
