A flicker of understanding crossed Su Wen's eyes. He looked Jiang Bei over from head to toe, then nodded slowly. "I see. I heard you have a special means of suppressing the Profound Fire Demon God's Demonic Power. With you coming along, you'll have a chance to put that strength to good use."
Jiang Bei cupped his hands. "You give me too much credit, my lord. We'll be relying on your leadership. I'm only doing my duty."
Su Wen gave a slight nod and said no more.
Once everyone's assignments were settled, Li Hongtian raised a hand. "Good! There's no need to delay. Gather your people and set out for the Mu Clan's territory at once. You must launch the attack before they have time to prepare."
Li Hongtian turned to Wei He. "Wei He, see that the matter of the Divine Dragon Branch is dealt with thoroughly. Both fronts are critical. Neither can wait."
Wei He rose. "Rest assured, Mansion Lord. Those remnants of the Divine Dragon Branch won't escape. I'll take my people and leave now."
He cupped his hands to Li Hongtian, turned, and strode out of the hall. His figure soon vanished beyond its doors.
Li Hongtian watched Wei He leave, his gaze lingering for a moment before he turned back to those who remained. "You should go as well. Make it quick. I'll be here waiting for good news."
Soon, a force of over a thousand marched out through the gates of the Myriad Forms Divine Mansion. Like a torrent of steel, they sped toward the Mu Clan's stronghold.
Several Divine Mansion experts led the way, Su Wen held the center, and Jiang Bei followed close behind.
After they had traveled some distance, Su Wen eased his pace until he was moving beside Jiang Bei.
