The next second, as the elevator dropped again, Peter Parker, caught off guard after relaxing, was yanked down with it.
The elevator stopped again after falling some distance, but Peter Parker, who came crashing down right after it, sent it plummeting at high speed once more.
Amid the screams around him, Peter Parker, lying on the floor, immediately shot a web upward. After the web stuck to the top, he planted his feet on the edge of the elevator ceiling and strained to make it stop.
Soon, through Peter Parker's efforts, the elevator came to a halt.
Peter Parker hung upside down above them. Seeing that the elevator had stopped, he greeted them:
"Hey, how are you guys doing?"
"Don't be scared. I'm here to save you."
Ned waved his arms excitedly and shouted:
"This is awesome, this is awesome!"
With Ned's movement, the elevator started swaying again. Seeing this, Peter Parker immediately shouted:
"Stop, stop, stop."
"Guys, don't move around."
Ned quickly stopped and apologized:
"Sorry, my bad."
After that, Peter Parker hauled hard on the web, pulling the elevator upward.
Soon, the elevator reached the top floor where it had been stopped, and the security personnel outside were there to receive them.
"All right, this is your stop. Hurry, Liz."
"Go, go, go, everyone get out."
"Move it, come on, everybody move."
Soon, Ned and Mr. Harrington had both left the elevator, leaving only Liz and Spider-Man inside. Just as Liz stepped forward, about to leave, the section of ceiling Peter Parker was standing on suddenly broke apart, and the elevator dropped downward again.
"Ah!"
Faced with Liz screaming and reaching out, Peter Parker shot a web that stuck to her wrist and saved her.
