The War Begins

On the other side.

Bakuto and Sowande arrived at the New York Continental Hotel in a transport bus with their men.

The hotel doorman, looking at the familiar escort bus, seemed to recall the time when the hotel was forced to return to secular life.

Before he could do anything, he was shot and killed by members of the Hand who got off the bus.

At this moment, nearly a hundred fully armed the Hand members got out of two vehicles, and Bakuto and Sowande signaled for an attack.

In an instant, nearly ten people took out grenades from their bodies, pulled the pins, and threw them into the Continental Hotel.

The grenade rolled into the hotel corridor. Charon, who was on duty at the time, immediately lay down upon seeing this and pressed the alarm system at the front desk.

The grenade exploded, shrapnel flew everywhere, and some assassins sitting in the hotel's executive corridor were shot dead by the flying shrapnel before they could even react.

The hotel's alarms blared, and loudspeakers on every floor announced, "The main entrance of the Continental Hotel is under attack. All guests may choose to evacuate or retaliate."

"To reiterate, the Continental Hotel has been attacked by unidentified forces. All customers may choose to evacuate or retaliate."

At that moment, the numerous assassins who were still drinking and having fun in the underground bar of the Continental Hotel were stunned when they heard the voice broadcast. A second later, some of them drew their pistols and became alert. Some chose to support the hotel and head upwards, while others evacuated through the hotel's back door.

Those who were evacuating had no idea that the Hand had already surrounded the hotel tycoon. The person who tried to leave through the back door was mercilessly shot dead by the Hand members guarding the entrance as soon as he showed himself.

Some of the assassins who checked into the hotel immediately got up, put on their bulletproof vests, picked up their weapons, and cautiously walked out of their rooms after hearing the announcement.

At that moment, after the grenade explosion stopped, Bakuto and Sowande's men rushed into the hotel. Seeing the wounded assassins on the ground, they immediately finished them off with shots to ensure they were dead and wouldn't retaliate suddenly.

Once inside the hotel, the Hand members killed anyone they saw, sparing no one who appeared before them.

Seeing this, some of the assassins immediately opened fire in retaliation, and a battle ensued. In an instant, gunfire filled the hotel, interspersed with the occasional boom of exploding grenades.

After Bakuto and Sowande entered the Continental Hotel, they also joined the battle.

Because the two possessed the Qi of K'un-Lun, none of the assassins present could withstand a single blow from them, further enhancing the efficiency of their killing spree.

After the grenade exploded, Charon immediately ran to the hotel manager Winston's lounge.

"Winston, something terrible has happened! Someone's attacking the Continental Hotel!"

Charon, who had just entered, saw that Winston had already changed his clothes and looked serious.

"Notify our men to grab their weapons and fight back!"

After giving Charon a brief instruction, Winston picked up his phone, dialed Charlotte Doyle's number to request help, but the line was busy.

Even calling Charlotte Agency was impossible. Winston hung up the phone with a serious expression; he knew things were in trouble.

Without hesitation, Winston walked straight into the Safe House and began to review the attacking enemies through the surveillance cameras.

At Charon's command, a large number of security personnel from the Continental Hotel immediately rushed into the weapons room, grabbed their equipment, and began to fight back.

The King of Bowery, who wanted to contact Charlotte, couldn't get through on the phone, so he dialed Winston's number instead.

Winston watched as the phone he had just put down rang. He assumed it was Charlotte calling, but when he picked it up, he saw it was the King of Bowery calling. He was a little surprised, but he answered anyway.

"Winston, what happened on your end? The block where the Continental Hotel is located has been sealed off."

"Even the neighborhood where Elder Charlotte lives has been sealed off and is inaccessible."

Upon hearing the King of Bowery's words, Winston's heart sank. Just as he had expected, something had happened.

"Wang of Bowery, the Continental Hotel has been attacked by unknown forces, and the Elder may be in the same situation. Since you are loyal to the Elder, then do what you should do."

Upon hearing that both sides were under attack, the King of Bowery's expression immediately changed, and he said in a deep voice, "I understand."

Because of the time difference, John Wick was not asleep and answered the phone immediately.

"John, something's happened. The Elder and the Continental Hotel have both been attacked by unknown forces. I know you can still contact other people in New York."

"I need to take some men to help with the rescue. If you can contact other gangs for assistance, hurry up."

Upon hearing the King of Bowery's words, John Wick, who had just been lying in bed, immediately sat up straight and asked in surprise, "You're not mistaken? The Elder was attacked?"
