Escape
Inside the Vampire Castle.
Vidoc had regained his strength through the replenishment of blood, and the return of his strength also allowed him to revert to his original appearance.
At that moment, the gate to the Land of Slumber opened, and Kraven walked in. Seeing Viktor getting dressed, he knelt on one knee and said, "Master."
"I need to see Selene now, not you."
Kraven slowly rose, took two steps forward, and said, "She hasn't returned since she ran away and met that Werewolf, Master."
Viktor looked at Kraven standing below. "Your incompetence has only made things more difficult."
Kraven explained, "It's not my fault. She's completely bewitched and thinks I'm the mastermind behind some absurd conspiracy."
Just then, Selene's voice suddenly came from behind. "This is my evidence."
Selene appeared at the door and threw the Werewolf doctor she had captured inside.
The doctor slid to the front of the crowd, groaning.
Selene pinned the Werewolf doctor down in front of Viktor and bound his hands with chains on the ground, forcing him to kneel before Viktor.
Selene gripped the doctor's injured shoulder with one hand and said, "Now I want you to tell them what you just told me."
The doctor looked up at Selene but didn't say anything.
Upon seeing this, Selene formed her right hand into a claw and viciously gripped the other person's injured shoulder, from which blood flowed.
"Ah~" the doctor cried out in pain.
"Okay, okay!"
"For many years, we have been committed to mixed bloodlines..."
"But we've never succeeded; all our efforts have been in vain, even at the cellular level, where our species fight and destroy each other."
"We know that the key lies in finding rare bloodlines."
"A direct descendant of Alexander Kovinus, a Hungarian warlord who came to power in the early 15th century."
"He witnessed the plague ravage his village, and he was the only survivor."
"For some reason, there is something in his body that can alter and assimilate diseases, making them work for him."
"He became the first truly immortal man!"
The doctor paused here, and Selene, seeing this, continued to apply pressure.
"Ugh~ Ah!"
The doctor screamed, then continued:
"A few years later, he had at least two children, who inherited the same trait."
At this moment, Viktor, sitting in the superior position, smiled and slowly began to speak, "Alexander Corvinus's three sons, one was bitten by a bat, one was bitten by a wolf, and one walked the lonely path of death to become human."
Viktor then scoffed, "That's just an absurd legend; it's probably a joke concocted by someone with ulterior motives."
At this moment, the Werewolf doctor raised his head, looked directly at Viktor, and said, "But we do indeed share a common ancestor."
Victor shouted, "There's a descendant of Alexander Corvinus lying right here, no more than three feet away!"
As he spoke, Viktor pointed to an underground mechanism next to the doctor.
The doctor looked in the direction Viktor was pointing and said, "Yes, but he's Vampire. We need a pure sample."
"An uncontaminated, true copy of the original virus, namely the Alexander Kovinus lineage itself, is, as far as we know, hidden in the genetic code of his human descendants, and inherited in a dominant manner."
"Until Michael Cowen came along, his blood was able to perfectly blend the bloodlines of our two races."
Upon hearing this, Viktor retorted, "There is no such mixture at all, and talking about it is utter nonsense."
The doctor stared at Viktor and said, "Just wait and see, once Lucian injects him..."
Lucian is dead!
Seeing that the Werewolf was about to expose himself, Kraven, who was standing at the back, quietly left the sleeping room while Viktor and Selene were completely absorbed by the Werewolf's words, and immediately got into a car and left the castle.
Upon hearing Viktor say that Lucian was dead, the Werewolf doctor laughed and said, "Who said that?"
Upon hearing this, Selene quickly looked behind her towards where Kraven had been standing, only to find that there was no one there.
Seeing this, Viktor stepped down, approached Selene, and said, "I assure you, child, Kraven will pay for this with his life."
The doctor glanced at the two of them, then said, "This house is about to be reduced to ruins."
Selene pulled out a gun, pointed it at the doctor's head, and said, "You'll die first."
The doctor, with a finger pointed at his head, suddenly cried out in a panic, "No, wait, wait!"
"You, and only you, know the truth."
Seeing that the other party had something to say, Viktor gave Selene a look, and Selene moved the gun away from her head, pointing it at her back.
"If Lucian could obtain the help of a pure bloodline, an Elder with powerful energy like Amelia, or someone like you, and then inject it along with Michael's blood."
Upon hearing this, Viktor shouted, "How outrageous!"
The doctor continued, "Half Vampire, half Werewolf, but stronger than both."
Just then, the door to the slumber room opened, and a team of fully armed Death Dealer entered. The leader said, "Master, a member of the Council has been assassinated."
"Ah!" This news startled Viktor.
"How is Amelia?"
The Death Dealer leading the group said, "The blood has been drained, the hearts have been pierced, and all the Vampire ' foreheads have been opened, as if something has been dug out."
Upon hearing this news, Viktor and Selene exchanged glances, then closed their eyes and observed a moment of silence.
"Forehead?" Viktor seemed to realize something, then murmured, "What would Werewolf want that for?"
Viktor had also studied the red crystals in the pineal gland, but found them to be of no use whatsoever. Werewolf couldn't eat them, Vampire couldn't consume them, and they had absolutely no other function.
At this moment, the Werewolf doctor laughed and said, "Ha ha ha!"
"Everything is about to begin!"
Selene fired a shot directly into the man's thigh. "Tell me, besides the blood, what was the purpose of the other thing you took?"
"I don't know what you're talking about. Do you have anything precious on you besides your blood?"
Seeing that the other person didn't seem to be lying, after all, they had already revealed so much, there was no reason for them to continue hiding anything.
Viktor looked at Selene, then slowly said, "Our most urgent task is to kill Lucian and that Michael."
After saying this, Viktor took the lead and walked out of the sleeping room; he was going to deal with the impending disaster.
Selene followed closely behind Viktor as they left the sleeping chamber. The door closed, leaving only the Werewolf doctor bound inside.
No Vampire cared whether the Werewolf lived or died; he was no longer of any value.
Silver Nitrate was corroding the Werewolf's life. The doctor collapsed to the ground, blood flowing from his wounds, soaking the ground and flowing into the coffin where Marcus was still asleep.
