Prime Merlinian

"And so, Morgana obtained the world's most dangerous magical spell, commonly known as the Resurrection Spell, in Merlin's mage tower."

"From then on, she gained the power to build an undead army and enslave humanity."

"When I rushed over, I was knocked down by Morgana, and Veronica sacrificed herself to save me."

"She absorbed Morgana's soul into her own body, but Morgana tried to kill Veronica from within."

"In order to save Veronica and Uniform Morgana, I locked them all in Grimhold, a kind of prison that looks like Grimhold."

"Year after year, I defeated many Mage who came to rescue Morgana, locking them up layer by layer Grimhold, until finally Maxim was also captured by me."

"And on his deathbed, Merlin gave his Dragon Ring to Balthazar, telling him that the ring would help Balthazar find Merlin's future successor, Prime Merlinian."

"Prime Merlinian is the only one who can kill Morgana. I have searched for centuries, seen the sons of tribal chiefs, the young Living Buddhas, and countless other people, but none of them could wear this ring."

"Until ten years ago, I met Dave. He put on the Dragon Ring, but in doing so, he inadvertently released Maxim. And now, ten years later, Dave has given up the ring, while you have successfully put on the Dragon Ring."

Listening to Balthazar's explanation, Charlotte asked curiously, "Resurrection magic?"

"Is it a truly non-destructive resurrection spell?"

Charlotte was quite interested in the resurrection technique. Although there were resurrection abilities in Hokage, they all came at a considerable price.

Balthazar gave Charlotte Doyle a deep look before speaking, "I have never seen a resurrection spell. In fact, Morgana was sealed inside Grimhold before she even had a chance to learn it."

"But to gain something, you must give something in return, just like magic, where the amount of magic determines its power."

"And the price for casting such a heaven-defying spell as resurrection must be enormous."

Charlotte in agreement with Balthazar's words, then asked, "What is the responsibility of Prime Merlinian?"

Balthazar pondered for a moment before speaking, "Prime Merlinian, like the Sorcerer Supreme, was dedicated to protection. The Sorcerer Supreme protected Earth, primarily to prevent invasions from other dimensions."

"Prime Merlinian is responsible for commanding Mage, protecting humanity, eliminating evil Mage, and eradicating some alien bloodlines. Of course, like the Sorcerer Supreme, he also has to stop dimensional invasions, but that is not Prime Merlinian's main task."

"The Master of the Mystic Arts of Kamar-Taj are not considered Mage, and are not under the Prime Merlinian the One."

Seeing the curiosity in Charlotte's eyes, Balthazar said, "Of course, if you're interested in the title of Sorcerer Supreme, you can run for it after the Ancient One retires."

"The owner of Prime Merlinian can also serve as the Sorcerer Supreme if conditions permit, but I do not recommend that you do so."

"After all, to become the Sorcerer Supreme, one needs to be associated with that person. Our lineage's power comes from within, while the Sorcerer Supreme's lineage comes from borrowing power."

Although Balthazar did not call out the name of the person directly, Charlotte understood that the Sorcerer Supreme belonged to the Triune Vishanti.

Every so often, they hold a tournament among all the top mages! The one who stands at the end will undoubtedly become the Sorcerer Supreme.

However, the Ancient One was incredibly powerful, so she always held the title of Sorcerer Supreme. While she was alive, the Vishanti would not organize such a competition, since no one could rival the Ancient One.

However, after the Ancient One passed the position to Doctor Strange and Stephen Strange, the three of them organized quite a few such competitions. Even Loki from one universe got to experience being the Sorcerer Supreme.

Charlotte hesitated for a moment, then said, "I have no intention of concurrently serving Sorcerer Supreme."

Just as Charlotte finished speaking, Dave, having finished urinating, pushed open the door and walked in. Looking at Balthazar and Charlotte who were staring at him, he said somewhat awkwardly, "Sorry to keep you waiting."

Dave walked up to Balthazar and said, "I'm ready."

Balthazar nodded at Dave and then said, "Charlotte, Dave, you two step into these two Merlin Circle."

Charlotte and Dave entered the Merlin Circle that Balthazar had prepared for them.

At this moment, Balthazar stood before the two, his expression solemn, and said, "I am Balthazar Blake, the 777th the Mandarin of Magic. I now accept you both as my disciples."

"Charlotte was my first disciple, Dave, you are my second disciple."

Charlotte did not refuse Balthazar's offer to take her as his apprentice. Although she didn't really need magic, she didn't mind learning more skills, since some magical skills were quite practical.

Dave, however, was quite excited and exclaimed happily, "That's wonderful!"

At this moment, Balthazar flipped his hand, and another ring appeared in his hand. It wasn't the Dragon Ring that represented Prime Merlinian, but an ordinary magic ring. He looked at Dave and then tossed the ring over.

"Dave, put on this magic ring."

Dave took the ring, looked at the item in his hand, and then at the one he had sold in Charlotte's hand. He thought to himself: I didn't lose out. I sold one and got another one. It's like getting 100,000 US Dollar.

Balthazar then stood before the two and said, "Your rings are not jewelry; they are used to help the magical energy within your bodies enter the material world."

"The ring is like Mage's staff, a sorcerer's Sling Ring; it's a powerful weapon used for casting spells, and it's also an item unique to Merlin's lineage."

"Without the ring, most Mage would lose the ability to cast spells, but some exceptional individuals can still cast spells even without the ring, just like my teacher Merlin."
