Trouble Arrives
Ivan Vanko was imprisoned by the Morocco police, while Charlotte took Tsunade back to the hotel to rest.
Upon returning, Tony did not go directly to the prison to find the assailant who attacked him, but instead knocked on Charlotte's Room Door.
Hearing a knock on the Room Door, Charlotte went over and opened it.
Hey Tony!
Hey, buddy!
Tony walked straight into the room, sat down on the sofa, poured himself a glass of wine, and then drank it all in one gulp.
Seeing that there was no one else behind Tony, Charlotte simply closed the Room Door.
After taking a sip of his drink, Tony's face turned serious. After a moment of contemplation, he said directly, "Buddy, I believe you."
I'm not asking this because I doubt you.
"But what's the deal with that guy who attacked me earlier? He said he finally did it, and he was even calling your name. What did that mean?"
"I just have a question, buddy, can you clear it up for me?"
Looking at Tony, who seemed a little tongue-tied, Charlotte smiled. Tony was hilarious; he looked like a simp waiting for a scumbag woman to pronounce his death sentence.
Of course, this doesn't mean Tony is a simp; it just means that Tony genuinely considers him a good friend.
Charlotte sat on the sofa opposite Tony, poured herself a glass of whiskey, and took a sip.
Seeing Charlotte remain silent, Tony's face darkened considerably.
"Dude, what do you mean by this?!"
"Hahaha!"
"Tony, you're hilarious."
"I should have recorded this and shown it to your girlfriend later. They'd definitely think you got dumped."
"Hahaha, that's hilarious."
Tony realized he'd been tricked and laughed, cursing, "You're such a jerk."
Charlotte put down her wine glass, leaned back on the sofa, and then slowly began to speak:
"Normally, I would charge a fee for information regarding questions like yours, but seeing how aggrieved you look, I'll tell you for free."
Tony couldn't stand it when he heard that, so he pulled a bank card out of his pocket and slammed it on the table.
"How much? Tell me. Do you think I'm short of your money?"
Seeing Tony's expression, Charlotte wanted to burst out laughing, but considering Tony's feelings, she held it back.
"Okay, I'm not kidding anymore."
Do you know who attacked you?
"How would I know? How would I know who he is?"
"The person who attacked you was Ivan Vanko, a Russia."
"Of course, he does have some connection with your family."
"This Ivan Vanko was recommended by my subordinates in Russia, and he later came to join me with his blueprints."
"Drawing?"
"Yes, it's the original blueprint for that thing on your chest."
"But at the time he couldn't miniaturize it; he said he couldn't do it, so I didn't take him in and had him sent back to Moscow."
"No, where did he get the blueprints? Even a giant arc Arc Reactor is Stark Industries secret."
Seeing Tony's puzzled expression, Charlotte smiled and continued, "That guy's father and your father were colleagues."
"The original Arc Reactor was developed jointly by them. I saw the names of his father, Anton Vanko, and your father Howard Stark, on his blueprints."
"However, according to my investigation, after this thing was developed, Anton Vanko wanted to make money from it, but your father refused and eventually kicked him out of the United States."
"Upon returning, Anton Vanko attempted to remanufacture the device for weaponry, but failed. The Soviet Union government at the time believed Vanko had deceived them and convicted him of treason, exiling him to Siberia. He only returned to Moscow after the founding of Russia."
"However, this has also made your lives rather miserable, and the father and son on the other side absolutely hate your family."
Upon hearing Charlotte's account, Tony's lips twitched, then he said helplessly, "That was my father's decision back then, and I don't think there was anything wrong with it."
"Before it shrunk, this thing wasn't very useful."
Charlotte nodded, agreeing with Tony's assessment. Before it shrunk, even Obadiah considered it just a gimmick to scam investors.
Tony slapped his thigh, then stood up and said, "Dude, thanks for the information."
"How about we fly back together later? This vacation is ruined."
"Okay, I also think this place is pretty boring."
Tony then got up, said goodbye, and left.
Watching Tony leave, Charlotte thought to herself, "This guy's probably going to check on Ivan Vanko now." She stroked her chin, thinking, "Given Tony's personality, he might just give Ivan a good cell."
······
After leaving Charlotte's room, Tony did not go to visit Ivan Vanko as she had expected.
Now that he knew what kind of enemy this was, there was no need to meet him. Tony would only choose to meet this enemy who attacked him if he hadn't received any information.
Back in his room, Tony instructed Happy to immediately arrange for a private jet to return. He then opened his tablet and, through Jarvis, began researching Anton Vanko and Ivan Vanko.
Through Jarvis's inquiry, Tony quickly obtained the information he wanted, which was indeed no different from what Charlotte had said.
The other party was indeed his father's colleague, Ivan Vanko, who was also a physicist. Unfortunately, due to his status, he was not well received by Russia and instead lived a relatively frugal life.
Even the other party's protective shield was discovered through Jarvis's investigation; it was found that it was obtained through the Continental Hotel and that the person had previously visited New York.
"Dad, you've given me quite a bit of trouble."
At this moment, Tony also knew that he was in trouble. Of course, the trouble did not refer to Ivan Vanko, but to the miniature Arc Reactor that had been copied.
Although the Ivan Vanko manufactured was inferior to the one he tinkered with in the cave in terms of power and performance, it still shattered his own words at the hearing.
Fifty to ten years from now, there will be no New Year's greetings that can't be replicated. At that time, politicians and other capitalists will not let this opportunity pass them by.
Just as Tony frowned, Happy called.
"The plane has been arranged and we can depart at any time."
"Okay, I understand!"
After Tony packed his things, he notified Charlotte, and the two groups got into separate cars and headed to the airport.
