After Steve left, Nick Fury suddenly said, "Seal the office."
Then he took out the USB drive Natasha had handed over and plugged it into the computer port.
"Open the Lemurian Star satellite launch file."
A stiff synthetic onboard voice sounded. "Beep, beep. Access denied."
"Run decryption."
"Decryption failed."
Nick Fury looked at the decryption failure displayed on the screen and said again, "Override authorization. Director Nicholas J. Fury."
But after a moment of processing, the voice sounded again. "Authorization failed. All files sealed."
Hearing that authorization had failed, Nick Fury asked in confusion, "By whose order?"
"Nicholas J. Fury."
Hearing that it was supposedly his own order, Nick Fury sensed something was wrong. How could he not know about an order he had given himself?
Keeping the matter in mind, Nick Fury went to the elevator and instructed, "World Security Council."
Soon, the elevator doors closed and carried him upward, toward the floor where the Security Council held its meetings.
In the meeting upstairs, Pierce was currently facing the Security Council members' difficulties.
One of the Security Council members projected as a virtual image said, "If Nick Fury thinks his masked man and Assault Team can clean up the mess he caused, he is gravely mistaken."
"This mistake cannot be tolerated."
Another Security Council member said, "Given that the attack happened one mile off our nation's waters, I'm afraid that still isn't enough. I want a hearing."
But another female council member rejected it. "We don't need a hearing. We need action."
"The council's responsibility is to oversee S.H.I.E.L.D."
At that moment, a Security Council member spoke up. "This incident raises many questions."
Another Security Council member also said, "Such as how a French pirate managed to hijack a classified S.H.I.E.L.D. warship in broad daylight."
