Background / History
Tang San originated from another world, where he belonged to the Tang Sect. He later revealed that he had been hunted for stealing the sect's secret manuals at age twenty-nine, jumped from a cliff, and arrived in this world through time travel. His maturity as a child stemmed from this previous life. 223
He was raised by Tang Hao and eventually learned that his mother, Ah Yin, had been a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor in human form. Tang Hao brought him to Ah Yin's remaining Blue Silver Grass and gave him the Hundred-Thousand-Year Right Leg Soul Bone she had left behind. Absorbing it awakened Tang San's Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul. 144
Personality
Tang San is calculating and strategically minded. When Skywater Academy emerged as a probable tournament rival, he developed a cultivation method based on the Mysterious Heaven Skill to unblock his teammates' meridians and increase their cultivation speed. He also distinguishes between immediate and future interests, considering Bibi Dong a useful ally against Xiao Han and Qian Renxue while privately viewing her as a possible future threat. 42 184
He is intensely protective of Xiao Wu, his teacher Yu Xiaogang, and his Shrek companions. His losses repeatedly harden into a desire for revenge, particularly against Xiao Han and Spirit Hall following Tang Hao's death and Xiao Wu's sacrifice. 155 212
Tang San's rivalry with Xiao Han also brings out severe jealousy and resentment. He repeatedly fixates on Xiao Han's access to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well and the Immortal Herbs he believes should have been his. 53 145 200
Abilities & Skills
Twin Martial Souls
Tang San possesses Blue Silver Grass—later evolved into the Blue Silver Emperor—and the Clear Sky Hammer. The public revelation of the hammer exposed both his Clear Sky Sect heritage and his status as a Twin Martial Soul possessor. 71 72
- Blue Silver Emperor — Awakened after Tang San absorbed Ah Yin's Right Leg Soul Bone; it is thicker and tougher than his former Blue Silver Grass and bears golden patterns. 144
- Clear Sky Hammer — A powerful inherited Martial Soul that Tang San initially struggled to control; his use of Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer against Xiao Han left him depleted and injured. 72
- Martial Soul Avatar — Became available after he reached Level 71 and obtained his Seventh Soul Ring. 222
Blue Silver Emperor Techniques
- Blue Silver Entanglement — Uses Blue Silver Grass to bind targets or manipulate positioning; Tang San also used it to pull Xiao Wu from Spirit Hall's encirclement. 71 152
- Blue Silver Overlord Spear — His Fifth Soul Skill, gained with the evolved Blue Silver Emperor and Fifth Soul Ring. 144
- Blue Silver Domain — A domain obtained through Ah Yin's Soul Bone. 144

- Self-Healing — Another ability granted by Ah Yin's Right Leg Soul Bone. 144
Eight Spider Lances
Tang San's External Soul Bone manifests as eight black spider legs, providing defense, mobility, and offensive options. Its existence became public after his loss to Huo Wu. 60
- The lances can shield him from barrages of Ice Crystal Arrows and anchor him firmly to the ground. 71 91
- He uses them to propel himself through the air and close distance on opponents. 71
- Broken lance fragments can be launched through Tang Sect hidden-weapon techniques, including Batwing Reincarnation. 91
- The lances were badly damaged in battles against Xiao Han, including the destruction of two front legs and later four more. 71 91
Tang Sect Arts
Tang San combines Soul Master combat with techniques from his previous life in the Tang Sect. 42 56

- Hidden weapon techniques — Although the Soul Master Tournament prohibited hidden weapons themselves, Tang San used their techniques in combat. 42
- Godly Zhuge Crossbow — Directed volleys of these special-material arrows during the defense against Spirit Hall Empire forces; they were ineffective against Titled Douluo defenses. 179
Xiao Wu's Hundred-Thousand-Year Inheritance
Xiao Wu sacrificed her life and cultivation to Tang San, becoming his Sixth Soul Ring and granting him a Hundred-Thousand-Year Left Arm Soul Bone. 212 220
- Void — Turns Tang San intangible, making him immune to physical attacks and fifty percent resistant to Soul Power attacks. 222
- Eight-Stage Exploding Kill — A highly destructive inherited skill, though Tang San cannot fully use it because it requires Waist Bow techniques and flexibility. 222
- Teleportation — Allows teleportation within one hundred meters at a cost of one percent Soul Power per use. 222
- Invincible Golden Body — Blocks attacks below god level for three seconds; limited to three uses per day. 222
Soul Bones
- Eight Spider Lances — External Soul Bone used for protection, movement, and fragment-based attacks. 60 91
- Ah Yin's Hundred-Thousand-Year Right Leg Bone — Evolved his Blue Silver Grass into the Blue Silver Emperor and granted Blue Silver Domain, Flight Ability, and self-healing; later taken by Xiao Han after Tang San's right leg was shattered. 144 223

Relationships

- Ah Yin — Mother; a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor whose Soul Bone awakened Tang San's Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul. Her remaining Blue Silver Grass later withered and died. 144 221
- Xiao Wu — Lover and closest companion. Tang San repeatedly risked himself to protect her; she ultimately sacrificed herself to save him. 93 152 212
- Yu Xiaogang — Teacher and spiritual pillar. Yu Xiaogang guided Tang San's cultivation and accompanied him to obtain his Seventh Soul Ring, but Xiao Han crippled him before killing Tang San. 42 222 223
- Tang Xiao — Uncle and Clear Sky Sect Master. Tang San reported Tang Hao's death to him and earned his recognition before Tang Xiao was killed in the war against Xiao Han's side. 158 205
- Shrek Seven Devils — His core teammates. Tang San led their cultivation efforts and fought alongside them throughout the Soul Master Tournament. 41 42
- Xiao Han — Primary rival and eventual killer. Tang San blamed him for the deaths of Tang Hao, Dugu Bo, and other allies, while Xiao Han repeatedly defeated him before executing him. 145 223
