• Xia Liang awakened his Black-Purple Ribs and discovered he had Innate Level Five Soul Power.
• Xia Liang studied at Nuoding Primary Spirit Master Academy, worked at the Fish Roast Restaurant, and raised his Soul Power to Level Ten.

Xia Liang searched the Extreme North, joined Heaven Dou Royal Academy, and used his battles with Dugu Yan to gain access to the academy’s resources and leadership. The academy agreed to help him obtain a five-thousand-year Bone Dragon Soul Ring, while Dugu Yan gave him Anti-Poison Pills and promised another fight.

• Xia Liang accompanied the Shui Family into the Extreme North, found a hidden cave of Ice Crystal Stones, and narrowly escaped after the Snow Demon King destroyed their Ice Castle.
• Xia Liang returned to the Speed Reach Mercenary Group, then joined Heaven Dou Royal Academy as a cook so he could train in its Mimicry Cultivation Field.
• After reaching level twenty-nine, Xia Liang defeated Dugu Yan in two Soul Battles, won the Ruyi Hundred Treasures Pouch, and caught Qin Ming’s attention.
• Xia Liang accepted Qin Ming’s offer to join the academy as a registered student and broke through to level thirty after refining Whale Rubber and taking an Advanced Medicinal Bath.
• Xia Liang met Crown Prince Xue Qinghe and the academy’s leaders, revealed how he had chosen his Soul Rings, and asked them to help him obtain a five-thousand-year Bone Dragon Soul Ring.
• Meng Shenji agreed to travel to Dragon Valley for Xia Liang, while Dugu Bo gave Xia Liang the Ruyi Hundred Treasures Pouch before leaving on a long journey.

Xia Liang entered Dugu Bo’s poison-protected herb garden, gained a powerful third Soul Ring and new abilities, and secretly harvested rare Immortal Herbs. After gaining Dugu Bo’s trust by offering ways to help Dugu Yan, Xia Liang planned to seek the Breaking Clan for herbal knowledge.

• Xia Liang braved Dugu Bo’s poison array, found the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, and used its herbs to temper his body and evolve his Necromancer Skeleton Martial Soul.
• Xia Liang returned to Heaven Dou Royal Academy, taught Dugu Yan Ring Fusion, and escaped Dugu Bo after he returned to the manor.
• Meng Shenji and the other commissioners helped Xia Liang kill a Bone Dragon, whose Soul Ring gave him Bone Dragon Transformation and whose External Soul Bone granted spatial abilities.
• Xia Liang formed an eight-meter Susanoo and defeated Yu Tianheng in a spar using his new transformations and attacks.
• Dugu Bo inspected Xia Liang’s Ruyi Hundred Treasures Pouch but believed he had not stolen the herbs, then took him into the herb garden to help Yan Yan.

He then used the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well’s herbs to strengthen his Martial Soul and help Dugu Bo, before returning to Dugu Yan and drawing Xue Qinghe’s attention to his new power.

• Xia Liang stayed at Dugu Manor, where Dugu Bo questioned Dugu Yan about the rumors and tried to push her closer to Xia Liang.
• Xia Liang traveled to Star Luo City to obtain the Crystal Blood Dragon Ginseng and herbal knowledge, then entered the Star Dou Great Forest and retrieved the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone and Seedling.
• Xia Liang helped Tang San fight the Man Faced Demon Spider, then claimed its External Soul Bone and fused it with Bone Transformation Susanoo.
• Xia Liang followed the Red-Eyed Treant as it devoured the spider and became a Treant King, then killed it and gained its Ten-Thousand-Year Soul Ring and External Spinal Bone.
• Xia Liang secretly tampered with Xiao Wu’s soul, reunited her with Tang San, and helped the Shrek group survive a charging Soul Beast Herd before Tang San absorbed another Man Faced Demon Spider Soul Ring and its Torso Soul Bone.

• Xia Liang consumed the Red-Eyed Treant King’s remaining energy and evolved his Necromancer Skeleton Martial Soul, while Dugu Bo resolved his poison backlash and advanced to rank ninety-two.
• Xia Liang sparred with Dugu Bo, returned to Dugu Manor with him, and later requested leave for Dugu Yan before Xue Qinghe invited him to talk about his newly awakened Dark Attribute.
