Luo Chuan and Yao Ziyan walked side by side along the beach. The crashing of the waves was endless, and the cool sea breeze rushed toward them, pleasantly refreshing.
The numerous white seabirds from the daytime had vanished. Night was probably their time to rest as well.
The dark sea reflected the vast night sky, where two bright moons cast their cold radiance. Heaven and earth stretched boundlessly, making one unable to help but feel small.
Just earlier, Yao Ziyan had suggested coming to the beach for a look. Though she had traveled across Tianlan Continent for a long time, this was still her first time seeing the sea.
The lights of Blackstone Port Restaurant behind them had become tiny points of light. There was no one around, and only the wind and waves remained in their ears.
The moonlight was bright, spilling across the beach. As the two walked, long trails of footprints stretched out behind them.
Yao Ziyan had already taken off her shoes and walked barefoot across the sand. Every now and then, she felt the coolness of the waves, light laughter escaping her lips.
Luo Chuan was in a good mood too, chatting with Yao Ziyan from time to time.
"Boss, there seems to be something over there." Yao Ziyan suddenly stopped and pointed toward a cluster of bushes not far away.
Their current location was already rather secluded. They could only see the city's firefly-like lights in the distance. A few bushes grew not far from the shoreline; plants in another world truly had tenacious vitality.
Following the direction Yao Ziyan indicated, Luo Chuan indeed saw those bushes, which looked somewhat black in the poor lighting. They did seem like the sort of place where a creature might hide.
