Luo Chuan and Yao Ziyan drank coffee while Chimera gradually adapted to the unfamiliar surroundings and explored all around.
Catching the scent of coffee, it leapt straight from the floor onto the table and meowed at Yao Ziyan.
Luo Chuan had already observed it on the way here. Chimera merely looked like a cat—after all, no cat had black scales hidden beneath the fur on its limbs.
Yao Ziyan became interested and went to the coffee station to fetch a small saucer. There was still some of the coffee she had made earlier left over, so she poured it all in.
Chimera cautiously sniffed the coffee in the saucer, seeming to judge whether this thing could actually be drunk. In the end, it failed to resist the temptation.
The game of Dou Dizhu had reached its conclusion. Luo Chuan shifted his gaze from the light screen and glanced at Chimera, which was drinking coffee from the saucer.
Though he had no idea what kind of creature it was, or why it had appeared out of nowhere on the beach where the two had been strolling, none of that mattered now that it had become Yao Ziyan's pet.
Luo Chuan could not help yawning. He felt a little sleepy.
The only place to rest in the coffee shop was the sofa, and he had no idea whether sleeping here would have any effect on the real world. Right now, he was still sitting in the seat of the holographic device.
Yao Ziyan noticed his expression. "Boss?"
"A little sleepy." Luo Chuan yawned again. "I'm going back to sleep."
"Alright, I'm a little sleepy too." Yawns were contagious, and Yao Ziyan could not help yawning as well.
Chimera was now completely immersed in the deliciousness of the coffee and showed no reaction
