The wait was not long. Anno and Yao Ziyan soon came downstairs carrying breakfast.
The tavern was naturally different from Origin Mall. There was no system providing all sorts of ingredients anytime and anywhere; Anno had specifically gone to a large supermarket several streets away last night to buy the ingredients for the meal.

Civilization was advancing. There was no reason for only individual magic to develop while all the everyday things related to magic stood still.
Even without ingredients provided by the system, Yao Ziyan's culinary skills could still produce food so delicious it made one want to swallow their tongue. The elf girl's saliva was practically about to drip out.

"Anyway, I usually do not have much to do, and I quite enjoy cooking." Yao Ziyan smiled. "Seeing others enjoy the food I make is something that makes me very happy."
Especially when the person she liked enjoyed the food she made—it was even more blissful.
Yao Ziyan did not say that last sentence aloud.
Anno looked at Luo Chuan, then at Yao Ziyan. Unable to help herself, she reached up and scratched her hair. For some reason, at that moment, she suddenly felt a little superfluous.
An illusion. It had to be an illusion.
"Eat. Stop spacing out." Yao Ziyan smiled and patted Anno's arm in reminder, then slowly began eating. She was unhurried and elegant.
