Her consciousness briefly blurred. When she came back to herself, the surrounding environment had undergone earth-shaking changes.
Yao Ziyan opened her eyes, dazed for a moment.
She saw endless splendor, endless radiance, endless mystery.
It was far more boundless and vast than the starry sky of the universe, curtains and ribbons of countless colors intertwining into a bizarre, dreamlike scene.
For a time, she could not tell whether this was reality or illusion.
Perhaps such a sight could exist only in a dream.
Yao Ziyan turned around. The vortex that had led them here had silently dissipated behind her, leaving not the slightest trace.
She and Luo Chuan stood upon nothingness, yet felt no discomfort whatsoever.
"Boss."
Two voices rang out almost at once. Yao Ziyan looked toward Luo Chuan beside her and only then noticed two clearly distinct masses of black mist crouching not far away.
She had been far too astonished when she first arrived to notice the surrounding environment.
The black mist was likely something akin to a domain.
What Yao Ziyan cared about more, however, were the two creatures within it.
Hmm...
They could probably, perhaps, more or less be considered living creatures.
One was a humanoid monster pieced together from all manner of scaled insects, Magic Beasts, and fiends. The other was even more straightforward—there was not even a human shape left, only a giant eyeball with numerous tentacles trailing behind it, waving up and down.
Sure enough, the Endless Divine Court's style was all cut from the same cloth.
Come to think of it, this was Yao Ziyan's first time seeing either Soul Lock or Black Scale.
She studied the two curiously, seemingly trying to glean something from them.
Yao Ziyan did not know the two, but Soul Lock and Black Scale knew her.
