The news that the Human Federation's evacuation route appeared to have been blocked by an even larger Tyranid Swarm nearly crushed what remained of their fighting spirit.
The commanders and soldiers had endured so bitterly only in the hope that the Civilized Worlds behind them could evacuate more people, preserving the spark of civilization and saving their families.
But as the intelligence arrived, all hope was shattered. More Tyranid Swarms had completely surrounded the Human Federation, rendering their persistence meaningless.
No one could escape from here. Everyone would become food for the space bugs!

Kryfis still wore an expression of disbelief, his gaze passing through the Dome toward the warships being torn apart by gigantic Bio-ships in the void beyond.
