The Hive Ship waved its tendrils, pulling the alloy grappling cables out little by little. Numerous large swarm organisms pounced on them, using acid, fangs, and claws to gouge vicious notches in the cables.
Before long, hundreds of alloy grappling cables had been severed. The snapping cables whipped through swarm organisms, smashing them apart, and one Imperial warship suffered heavy damage as well.
It was breaking free!
Once this immense life-form escaped the alloy grappling cables and committed itself to fleeing, the Imperial Fleet would struggle to pursue it while entangled with the Tyranid Swarms.
"Hmph, that thing still wants to run?"
Fleet Commander Voladi watched the Hive Ship struggling in the void, his expression guarded. He absolutely could not let this precious bug escape!
His hands moved constantly as he issued commands, adjusting the Imperial Fleet's formation at tremendous speed.

He was giving it everything he had.
