Over these past few days, Ron had intermittently absorbed nearly ten thousand points of Power of Hope.
Though that was still far from two hundred thousand, as the Little Sun's energy recovered, he gained the ability to affect the real world.
One such ability was creating visions, allowing him to project images into the dreams of sleeping people.
This ability was undoubtedly powerful.
At a higher level, it was an "authority" belonging to gods.
Great deities could grant divine revelations to their followers!
Late at night.
Ron stood on the balcony of the Spire's bedroom, overlooking his territory.
At Sacred Plaza, workers were carrying out construction in an orderly manner.
According to the plan, aside from restoring the God-Emperor Statue, a monument would be built at its feet.
Only loyal followers of the God-Emperor who had made outstanding contributions to Earth Planet would qualify to have their names engraved upon it.
The time was about right.
Ron closed his eyes and used his consciousness to activate the Psionic Core concealed within the God-Emperor Statue's head.
As his consciousness merged with the Psionic Core, the range of his Psyker Power perception expanded enormously, nearly covering his entire territory.
What powerful ability. At that moment, he felt as though he had become a god watching from on high!
He had even specifically instructed the Psionic Core to imitate the fluctuations of the God-Emperor's psychic will.
That would make it easier to fool people and keep him from being branded a heretic.
The only problem was that it consumed far too much energy.
Ron felt the Power of Hope he had accumulated over this period rapidly draining away. It would last ten seconds at most!
Fortunately, he had prepared in advance and swiftly cast his psychic consciousness toward the Ecclesiarchy Cathedral.
He found Bishop Dony asleep and activated his vision-making ability, projecting several images into his consciousness.
The instant the images were projected, the Power of Hope was completely exhausted.
Ron's consciousness forcibly detached from the Psionic Core and returned to his body.
That had been close!
Creating visions required too much Power of Hope. He had nearly failed.
In just a few seconds, his entire body had gone limp, as though he were walking on a pile of cotton.
Fortunately, he had still accomplished his goal and sent the prepared images into Bishop Dony's mind in time.
Now he would see what effect they had.
If it still did not work, he would have no choice but to physically restrain Bishop Dony.
Tch... I'm drained again.
Ron clutched his lower back as he returned to the bedroom, collapsed onto the massive bed that could fit more than ten people, and fell into a deep sleep.
Ecclesiarchy Cathedral, Bishop Dony's bedroom.
The bedroom was plain, with almost no decorations.
Strangely, deep marks covered both the alloy floor and the walls, as though they had been violently hacked into.
There was only an iron bed in the room, with a vicious-looking Power Axe resting diagonally beside it.
Bishop Dony lay on the iron bed, already asleep.
His expression was terrified, as if he were experiencing something dreadful.
He was having another nightmare.
Ever since that terrifying Warp Storm that had cut them off from everything, he had been tormented by nightmares.
In his dreams, Chaos and darkness had consumed everything.
Blood rained from the sky. The faithful wailed, while heretics and daemons reveled, conducting bloody and cruel rituals.
The God-Emperor Statue had collapsed and was being trampled and desecrated. Bloody tears streamed from its eyes.
And he, Dony Moore, loyal servant of the God-Emperor, could do nothing.
Darkness devoured Earth Planet, growing denser and deeper until it completely obscured the God-Emperor's radiance.
Countless times, he had dreamed of Earth Planet's destruction and of more than half the Imperium suffering through hardship.
The endless, despairing cries caused him unbearable agony!
Within this dream, Bishop Dony knelt before the fallen God-Emperor Statue, which was piled high with Corpse and Bone, and cried out loudly.
"Almighty God-Emperor, my faith in You has never wavered!"
Bishop Dony's tears mingled with the scarlet blood rain as they fell. "I beg You to cast Your all-seeing gaze down upon us! The lost lambs need guidance!"
Yet no matter how he cried out, nothing happened.
The enormous, damaged head of the Holy Icon on the ground was gradually submerged by blood.
His despair reached its limit. He could endure no more!
But just as darkness was about to swallow him, a ray of light pierced through it and shone down.
It was so warm, so unwavering.
Wherever the light shone, darkness retreated!
Bishop Dony felt the fluctuations radiating from the light. They were so familiar.
It was the God-Emperor's radiance!
Praise the God-Emperor!
He could feel His presence again. The God-Emperor had not abandoned His lambs!
Bishop Dony raised his head and gazed devoutly at that mass of light.
Within the radiance, he vaguely saw the Great God-Emperor.
He wore golden armor and looked immensely majestic.
Within the vision.
The God-Emperor pointed His sword ahead, while a young king obeyed His will and led a great army through the darkness.
He judged heretics and drove away the darkness!
The light and shadows shifted, and another image emerged.
The God-Emperor looked down upon all living beings from the Throne.
A grand ceremony was being held beneath the Throne. Supported by the crowd, the young king knelt on one knee and offered his Loyalty to the God-Emperor.
At that moment, Bishop Dony could clearly see the young king's face. It was Earth Planet's Governor—Ron Grant!
Basking in the God-Emperor's radiance, Ron Grant looked so devout, so benevolent.
He seemed a king born to rule, making others unable to resist worshipping him.
Bishop Dony also saw himself within the vision.
He stood beside Ron Grant, presiding over the ceremony and guiding him like a mentor!
This was the God-Emperor's Holy Decree!
The notion of a Holy Decree had existed for ages. Legend said that only the most devout believers and warriors could receive one.
For example, the Emperor's Champions.
Guided by Holy Visions, they donned the black armor of the Emperor's Champion.
They offered their Loyalty through endless battle!
Some people not only received Holy Visions, but also gained the God-Emperor's blessing.
Bishop Dony could feel the darkness within his heart dissipating as strength gradually filled his body.
He had received the God-Emperor's blessing!
Bishop Dony instantly became fervent and began praying aloud.
All praise belonged to the God-Emperor!
The face of the young king, Ron Grant, grew ever clearer, while the God-Emperor's radiance became increasingly dazzling until it filled his entire vision.
The light reached its most intense point!
The blinding light woke Bishop Dony. It was already dawn.
Sunlight streamed through the stained glass, gentle and warm.
He had not slept so well in a long time.
He wiped away the tear tracks on his face and knew that he had escaped the nightmares that had plagued him.
The dream from last night remained vivid, clearly preserved in his memory.
Ron Grant's face in particular was impossible to forget.
In truth, Ron had put in tremendous effort, frantically beautifying his appearance to achieve that effect, and planned to use it as the template for future dream messages.
"The God-Emperor has shown the lost lambs the way..." Bishop Dony murmured.
After sitting there for a while, he seemed to reach a decision. He rose, leaned on his staff, and walked outside.
Bishop Dony's back was somewhat bent, but his steps were firm and powerful.
The Great God-Emperor had delivered His divine decree and chosen the one who could lead Earth Planet out of darkness.
Then, as a Chaplain of the Ecclesiarchy and a devout servant of the God-Emperor, he too should offer his Loyalty in his own way.
It was time to revive this cathedral!
