Carter tilted his head up, looked at the Humanoid Aberration towering over him, and drew a deep breath.

"Caw, caw, caw, little man, can you feel Fear?"

The half Heretic Head embedded in the Humanoid Aberration's chest looked down at Carter, growing ever more arrogant. He felt like he was back in business.

After the outer layer of flesh had exploded, he had actually gained control of this body.

The Heretic Head controlled the aberrant body, stretching as scarlet muscles rippled all over it, radiating terrifying power.

Feeling that earth-shaking strength, he was practically getting high!

The Heretic Head on the Humanoid Aberration looked down at Carter and spewed trash talk.

"Go die, dogs of the False Emperor! I'll twist off your heads one by one!

I'll smear your heads and blood all over that broken statue!"

"Do you know how many people I've killed?

More than two hundred!

Half of them were pregnant women and children. Their bodies made the most perfect sacrifices!"

The Heretic Head cackled wildly. The response it received was the roar of a Chainsword.

Carter swung the Chainsword at the Humanoid Aberration, but it dodged aside.

The Humanoid Aberration retreated to a safe distance. The Heretic Head watched Carter's expression turn increasingly grim and continued to mock him.

As he spoke, he controlled the Humanoid Aberration and slowly clenched its fist, gathering strength.

The Humanoid Aberration's fist slammed into Carter's chest.

Under that immense blow, the armor on Carter's chest erupted in sparks and caved in. The Chainsword flew from his hand.

His whole body was hurled backward, bouncing across the ground before crashing into the shanties and smashing through a whole row of them.

Carter struggled out of the shanties. A metallic sweetness rose in his throat, and he spat out a mouthful of bloody phlegm.

The moment he raised his head, his pupils shrank. Something was hurtling toward him with a piercing whistle!

He threw himself aside with all his strength, narrowly evading the attack.

With a loud crash, the Chainsword hurled by the Humanoid Aberration stabbed viciously into the spot where Carter had just been, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Had Carter been even a moment slower, he might have been crushed to death by his own weapon!

In retaliation, Carter drew his Bolt Pistol and fired a burst at the Humanoid Aberration. A ricocheting Bolt struck the Heretic Head embedded in its chest.

"Little man, you've truly angered me!"

The Heretic Head controlled the Humanoid Aberration as it strode toward Carter step by step. He was getting tired of playing.

He would kill this troublesome Custodian, then charge into the residential district behind them and feast to his heart's content!

"I'll tear you apart! No one can stop me!

Even if you kneel and beg for mercy, it won't help!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Three Assault Gunships flew in and attacked the Humanoid Aberration.

Its body was struck repeatedly by autocannon fire, and the explosions forced it to halt.

They were Assault Gunships from the Praetorian Guard!

The Custodians leaped from the troop compartments and surrounded the Humanoid Aberration.
