Even the largest Main Hive shook endlessly beneath the disaster, and its power systems were affected as well.
The lights in this Lower Hive market flickered between bright and dim. Cracks visibly spread through the surrounding buildings, and one huge fissure ran upward along the stacked residential blocks for several kilometers.
To the people in the market, such a drastic change was like the end of the world.
One second ago, they had still been laughing and talking, discussing their plans for the Day of Worship, discussing the good days that would come after Phanes returned to the Imperium.
Perhaps once the Hive City was expanded, they would be able to move up another level.
