Cut it that close?!

"Surely not, right?"

Gabriel looked at Haarken Worldclaimer and the swarming mass of Chaos Raptors behind him, and sucked in a cold breath.

He had somewhat underestimated his own talent for taunting.

Back when the black market had been raided, this guy alone had drawn in numerous Imperium forces, and had even almost been stomped to death by an Adeptus Custodes Dreadnought.

Now, single-handedly, he had drawn over most of the Chaos Raptors.

They were bristling with killing intent.

Faced with a formation like this, Gabriel decisively turned and ran.

He did not hesitate in the slightest, without a shred of a warrior's dignity.

That was a basic quality of the Blood Ravens. Otherwise, with their fine tradition of occasionally swiping other people's treasures, they would have been beaten to death long ago.

"Run, coward. Even if you hide in The Void, it won't help. I will drag you out and pierce your heart!"

Haarken roared, his gloomy voice filling the surrounding comms channels.

He had never longed so much to kill a single being. His crimson, twisted gaze had long since locked onto his target.

Then he abruptly hurled the Helldrake Spear. The hateful weapon seemed to grow eyes, stabbing toward its target at an unnatural speed.

This was Haarken's favorite move, and who knew how many mighty warriors had died beneath that spear.

Once the Helldrake Spear was thrown, it would seek out its target on its own, leaving basically no room to hide.

But just as the Helldrake Spear was about to strike Gabriel, space rippled. His figure vanished in an instant, then reappeared in the area beside it.

That lethal strike brushed past the Blood Ravens Chapter Master and plunged into the fortress wall ahead.
