Ron watched the Orks and Tyranid Swarms pour into the Warp, his heart full of anticipation.

For Warp Colonization, opening up territory was the hardest part of the early stages. Safe areas had to be carved out of regions occupied by the forces of Chaos.

Sending human armies to clear them would come at a tremendous cost, and the soldiers would be vulnerable to corruption by the Chaos Gods.

Sending armies of Orks and Tyranids was different. It was a low-cost, high-return choice.

Take the Orks, for example.

They reproduced so quickly that their numbers kept swelling. Even the Webway space originally allotted to them had become crowded.

Letting them breed across the Galaxy was even less of an option.

If they were left unchecked, who knew whether they might someday reproduce faster than humans and fill the entire Galaxy?

Worse still, Orks were a warrior race with boundless energy to burn. Once there were too many of them, fights broke out everywhere amid endless clanging and banging. Who could put up with that?

The best solution was to move as many Orks as possible into the Warp. There were plenty of enemies there for them to fight and an outlet for their irrepressible thirst for battle.

Besides, Orks had simple minds, so he did not have to worry much about the Chaos Gods corrupting them.

And with Brother Ron protecting them, they could withstand most attempts to corrupt them.

There was even less reason to worry about the Tyranid Swarms.

They had been bred by his cloned body, the Wings of the Blade Hive Ship, and were completely under his control.
