Background / History
Zhang Bo initially appears as a divination mage employed by the Diesel Company. He performs a lie-detection divination on Zhang Caidong and confirms his loyalty to Xue Zhigang, helping enable Zhang Caidong's promotion. 119
He is later revealed to be an embedded agent of the Green Leaf Group. From within Dhirim, Zhang Bo intends to dismantle Shen Mu's Human Race Territory by exploiting Blue Star Humans as spies and using them as cover for the Green Leaf Group's operations. He communicates with the group through Imps while maintaining Zhang Caidong's trust. 167
After entering Dhirim's social structure, Zhang Bo declines a Spiritual Realm Human Race transformation slot, citing his role as a Divination Mage rather than a melee combatant. He instead advises Zhang Caidong to give the opportunity to Sun Zhiru, strengthening his image as a selfless and politically astute confidant. 192
Personality
Zhang Bo is calculating, patient, and highly conscious of status. He cultivates an amiable, humble public image while privately treating relationships as tools for influence. His plans repeatedly depend on exploiting the trust of Zhang Caidong, Blue Star Human managers, Shen Mu, and the Human Mages. 167 207 250
He is adaptable when schemes fail. After the High-Level Managers eliminate the Middle-Level Managers before the intended conflict can escalate, Zhang Bo immediately orders an inside agent to set the town area ablaze and frame the High-Level Managers. 302
Despite his confidence, Zhang Bo is deeply anxious about becoming irrelevant. Discovering that Shen Mu already has a Druid and a mage team undermines his belief that his spellcasting makes him indispensable, driving him to seek access to the Castle Area and the Torch Tower library. 235
