"Uncle Tang? What are you doing here?"
Gula asked despite knowing the answer.
Tang Hao did not answer Gula's question. "Stop changing the subject. Keep talking."
Gula secretly scoffed. Tang Hao had wallowed in despair for six years, neglecting even his own child. Now that he had discovered Tang San possessed Twin Martial Souls and saw hope for revenge, he finally knew to step forward. What had he been doing before?
Though Gula scorned him inwardly, he kept his gaze lowered and avoided meeting Tang Hao's eyes, lest the man notice.
"Uncle Tang, was anything I said wrong? You look like a Soul Master too, and perhaps not a low-level one."
"Then you must know that Martial Souls have a chance of mutating after birth. They may evolve or regress, most often because of absorbing and fusing with soul rings from soul beasts."
"A Jade Phosphorous Serpent can evolve into a Jade Phosphorous Serpent Emperor, so why can't Blue Silver Grass evolve into a Blue Silver Grass Emperor?"
"Since Little San has Twin Martial Souls, the second one must be your Martial Soul, Uncle Tang. Do you really think your Martial Soul is on the same level as ordinary Blue Silver Grass?"
Tang Hao was left speechless. The Clear Sky Hammer was naturally countless times more noble than Blue Silver Grass.
But in that case, whether viewed from one angle or the other, the Clear Sky Hammer was the one holding him back. The qualities of the Martial Souls were inconsistent and could not achieve balance, resulting in Tang San's Blue Silver Emperor bloodline awakening incompletely.
Tang Hao felt that he was no match for Gula in an argument. Embarrassed and angered, he said, "Then tell me how Little San can completely awaken the Blue Silver Emperor. You only know how to raise problems—if you can't prove your judgment is right, then it isn't."
Tang San hesitated as if he wanted to speak. He felt that his father was being somewhat unreasonable, but after hesitating, he ultimately remained silent.
What Gula wanted was for Tang Hao to ask him. He had already looked into it earlier; the system seemed very similar to the pirated mobile game he had played in his previous life. Raising Pokémon could earn rewards, and "Tang San" had such great potential that Gula certainly would not let Yu Xiaogang squander it.
So Gula continued speaking eloquently:
"The defining trait of Blue Silver Grass is its tenacious Life Force. Its traces can be found anywhere on the continent. If Blue Silver Grass evolves, its most promising path must be to strengthen its Life Force and follow the route of a Healing Type and Control Type Soul Master."
"Once he becomes a Title Douluo, that vigorous Life Force might even reach the realm of regrowing flesh on bare bones and reviving the dead. He himself would become undying and indestructible, while also being able to heal—or even revive—others!"
This was the role Gula had planned for Tang San: the team's healer and controller. Once he cultivated the Clear Sky Hammer in the future, he could switch to an Assault Type at any time.
Tang Hao was as if struck by lightning. He could no longer hear anything else; the word "revive" filled his mind. His expression turned dazed, his gaze trembled, and he thought of the Golden Patterned Blue Silver Grass behind the waterfall. He muttered, "Ah Yin... can be revived."
His eyes reddened as he turned to Tang San.
"Little San, promise me that from now on, you can only add soul rings with life attributes to your Blue Silver Grass."
"I understand, Dad."
Tang San nodded obediently without asking why. His father surely would not harm him, so he only needed to follow his instructions.
Moreover, he retained memories from birth and vaguely remembered a gentle figure. A guess had already formed in his heart.
Tang Hao calmed down somewhat, and when he looked at Gula again, his gaze had become serious.
At only six years old, Gula could analyze Little San's Twin Martial Souls and cultivation path. His mind was exceptionally sharp.
He also possessed Innate Full Soul Power. As long as he did not die, he would almost certainly become a Title Douluo. In the future, he might even become an aid in taking revenge against Spirit Hall.
Both curious and testing him, Tang Hao said, "Then tell me, what soul ring should Little San add as his First Soul Ring? If your answer satisfies me, I'll take care of your First Soul Ring."
Gula smiled. There was actually a Pleasant Surprise. Then he would not stand on ceremony.
"Since Uncle Tang has said so, I'll make a fool of myself."
"From the books I've read, the foundations of Soul Masters who can cultivate to the level of Title Douluo are all extremely solid."
"Little San needs a soul beast with powerful Life Origin for his soul ring. Life attributes should come first, Wood Attribute second, and water and Earth Attribute after that."
"Considering its compatibility with Blue Silver Grass, I recommend a soul beast called Lurantis. It possesses a certain ability to camouflage itself, has sharp leaves, and can use Soul Skills to heal itself and accelerate its growth. It is highly suitable as Little San's First Soul Ring."
"No matter what Soul Skill he ultimately obtains, the strengthened Life Origin will become his foundation. When the right opportunity comes, it will allow Little San's Martial Soul to complete its evolution!"
Tang Hao's eyes were full of confusion. He did not know whether Gula was right, but it sounded very convincing.
Based on the knowledge of a Title Douluo, everything Gula said was logically coherent and contained no Loopholes. The chance of ultimately achieving it was very high.
"Good. We'll leave now for the Soul Hunting Forest."
Tang Hao was unwilling to waste even a moment. He grabbed Gula and Tang San, flew into the sky, and sped toward the distance.
Beneath the azure sky, Tang Hao used soul power to block the fierce winds, allowing Gula the leisure to experience the sensation of flying.
Looking down from High Altitude, people became tiny black dots. Fields and houses lay scattered in neat patterns, sketching out a harmonious and natural pastoral scene.
Freedom without restraint—this was what Gula felt.
If there was one drawback, it was that Tang Hao was holding him by the shoulder, and the position was rather uncomfortable.
Tang San had no mood to admire the scenery. He was already numb from shock. He had no choice but to accept reality: his father was a powerful Soul Master, and there had been another reason behind his previous despondency.
He wanted to resent him, but he could not overcome his beliefs regarding heaven, earth, ruler, parents, and teachers. In the end, he chose forgiveness.
Soul Hunting Forest.
An hour later, Tang Hao directly crossed over the Spirit Hall guards and flew into the Soul Hunting Forest.
So-called rules could not restrain a Title Douluo. Besides, the fact that Tang Hao had not slaughtered everyone from Spirit Hall present was already an act of great mercy on his part.
"We're here. There are people in the Soul Hunting Forest who specifically capture soul beasts to maintain the balance of their species. There must be Lurantis here."
Gula spoke at the right moment. "Lurantis has obvious characteristics. Its branches and leaves mimic a mantis, and its coloring is quite distinctive as well."
A Soul Saint knew how to use Spiritual Power, and Tang Hao was no exception. He nodded slightly and released his Spiritual Power to search for the Lurantis Gula had described.
"The leaves are emerald green, the stems pale red, like crouching mantises. Found it."
Tang Hao brought the two of them down into a woodland clearing. A large area of vine-like plants grew in the gaps between the trees, their pale red stems hard to make out beneath the sunlight, hidden under long, narrow leaves. The leaves trembled in the wind, resembling countless mantises.
Sensing the oppressive Soul Power Tang Hao had released, the brainless Lurantises instinctively resisted. Their leaves rustled, poised to strike.
Tang Hao snorted coldly. His Soul Power crashed down like a collapsing mountain, pressing toward the Lurantises. Then, judging by the Soul Power Fluctuations they emitted, he identified a four-hundred-Year Lurantis.
He used his Soul Power to suppress every Lurantis. This was simple for a Title Douluo, considering the strongest Lurantis here was only seven hundred Years old.
Stepping forward, Tang Hao uprooted the target and tossed it Beneath His Feet of Tang San. "Little San, do it. Absorb the Soul Ring the way I taught you."
Even after being uprooted, the Lurantis remained alive, whipping its leaves as it tried to attack Tang San. The stems and leaves Tang Hao had damaged rapidly recovered beneath the sunlight.
