Year 1520 of the Sea Calendar. This is the latter half of the Grand Line, the New World spoken of by the masses!
And in the southern part of the New World, a giant whale-shaped ship was sailing across the boundless sea. Within its route, whether it was a merchant ship or a ship from another pirate crew, all would choose to avoid it upon seeing this whale ship.
Because this was the legendary Moby Dick, and the one ruling these waters was the Whitebeard Pirates, led by one of the Four Emperors, Whitebeard—Edward Newgate.
On the deck of the Moby Dick, a burly old man was seated on a custom-made, oversized chair. His body was crisscrossed with scars, and his face bore a crescent-shaped white beard. He was the legendary World's Strongest Man—Whitebeard!
However, no one could have imagined that this World's Strongest Man was currently covered in medical equipment, with an IV drip in his arm.
"Marco, I'm thirsty. Go get me some sake, old man's orders."
"No!" Marco refused without even thinking, shaking his head. "Father's body can't handle drinking every day like before."
Hearing this, Whitebeard didn't argue with Marco. After all, it was his son's concern for him. He would need to find a proper reason to drink.
"Look, what is that?"
An unknown person's question was followed by everyone looking in the direction he pointed. A strange creature was falling from the sky near the Moby Dick and into the sea.
"It's a little brat. Who's going to fish him out? He might be a landlubber." With Whitebeard's strength, he had naturally seen the man falling from the sky long ago.
As soon as he spoke, a splash erupted, and the person who had just fallen into the sea leaped straight into the air. At this moment, everyone finally saw his appearance clearly.
He was a man over three meters tall, with short, messy black hair, pale skin, and dark green eyes. His face bore two deep green tear streaks. He wore a white, high-collared long-sleeved coat with black trim, white pants, and a half-helmet-like object on his head.
As the man leaped into the air, an inexplicable giant wave surged, and a Sea King, comparable in size to the Moby Dick, emerged from the sea. It opened its abyssal maw and bit fiercely at the man in the air.
"Cero!"
The man merely raised a finger, and an emerald green flash, filled with destructive aura, gathered at his fingertip, blasting towards the giant sea beast.
Then, to the astonishment of many on the ship, the Sea King's massive head, following a thunderous roar, was blown into countless pieces of flesh! The tall man, using the impact's force, leaped straight onto the Moby Dick.
"What kind of power is this! Instinctively, I actually..." The man looked at his palm, seemingly in disbelief. But he soon realized that this overly pale hand with black nails didn't seem to be his original appearance, and this perspective...
He looked up again at the people on the ship: the pineapple-haired man, the man with freckles on his face, and the old man sitting in the center of everyone, who seemed to be twice his height, with that iconic crescent white beard.
"Are you... Whitebeard?"
Snapping back to reality, he had already asked this question, which drew dissatisfaction from a few: "You punk, how dare you address Father so casually!"
From their answers, he finally confirmed it. He had transmigrated to the world of One Piece. But why One Piece? He was clearly rewatching Bleach! Ulquiorra's Resurrección was so cool!
Could it be?!
He subconsciously looked at his attire and touched below his neck. Sure enough! Inside the white high-collared coat, there was a small hole at his collarbone.
But Ulquiorra was only about 1.7 meters tall, wasn't he? Compared to the people around him, how could he feel like he was 3 meters tall? Could it be self-modification after transmigration?
Just as he was spacing out, Whitebeard looked at him with a displeased gaze. "Kid with the half-helmet, who are you?"
"My name is Ulquiorra Cifer. Mr. Whitebeard can just call me Cifer."
Cifer wasn't his name before he transmigrated. In his previous life, he was just an orphan. His real name was given by the orphanage. In the world of One Piece, it was better to just use Ulquiorra's name.
If it were his past self, seeing a living Whitebeard, Marco, and Ace, he would definitely be excited!
But it seemed that after gaining Ulquiorra's power, his emotions were also somewhat affected, becoming much calmer and more indifferent, with only a faint sense of joy.
"Cifer? Haven't heard that name before. Strange-looking brat, your power seems pretty good. Want to join my Whitebeard Pirates and become my son? Klahahahaha~"
Whitebeard still loved taking in sons as much as ever! Cifer couldn't help but sigh. He didn't transmigrate just to become someone's son, even though he quite liked Whitebeard as a character.
Also, where was his appearance strange? At most, his skin was a bit pale, his eyes were green, and he had two tear streaks on his face. Didn't the old man look at how many people in the Whitebeard Pirates looked stranger than him!
"Mr. Whitebeard, I just fell here due to some accident. If you don't mind, please send me to a nearby island."
He didn't directly reject Whitebeard's offer but also indicated that he had no intention of becoming his son.
"Hey, hey, hey, what was that just now? Your finger could unleash such a powerful attack. What Devil Fruit user are you?"
A man with freckles on his face came forward, slung an arm around Cifer's shoulder, and asked familiarly.
Cifer naturally recognized this person as the catalyst for the future Summit War, the son of the Pirate King Roger—Portgas D. Ace! From this, Cifer could also deduce that the current timeline was still very early.
"I haven't eaten a Devil Fruit. I am a Hollow, a race you've never heard of," Cifer replied expressionlessly.
"That's right! You just popped out of the sea!" Ace lightly slapped his left palm with his right fist, looking enlightened. "Hollow? Sounds cool!"
"Grumble~"
Abruptly, a sound came from Ace's stomach. Ace instantly collapsed on the ground: "I'm so hungry, Sachi. I want to eat~"
"Klahahahaha~" Whitebeard's classic laughter resounded. "Sons, let's have a feast to celebrate our new friend Cifer!"
"Alright!!!" everyone responded enthusiastically.
Finally found an opportunity. With a feast, even Marco couldn't stop him from drinking, at most he'd drink a little less. Whitebeard felt proud of his cleverness, and his gaze towards Cifer softened a bit.
"Honestly, Father, you're really persistent!" Marco could only slap his forehead and order someone to prepare the banquet.
Watching the Whitebeard Pirates eating meat and drinking heartily, singing and dancing after a few drinks, Cifer felt a strange sense of warmth.
It felt warm!
This was the first thought that popped into Cifer's mind. He seemed to understand a little of what Ulquiorra had always been searching for, something that he, as an orphan in his past life, had never experienced.
"Come, come, Cifer, this is a super delicious specialty!" Ace shoved a giant skewer of meat into Cifer's hand, then turned back to squeeze into the crowd to grab food.
Cifer watched Ace's retreating back, took a hearty bite of the skewer in his hand, and his gaze drifted to a certain corner. A large-bellied uncle, missing a few teeth, was sitting nearby eating cherry pie.
Blackbeard—Marshall D. Teach! The most pirate-like man in the Pirate King's world!
To be honest, Cifer didn't like this man. He would stop at nothing to achieve his goals, able to bend and endure for decades. It wasn't an exaggeration to say he was a formidable figure, but the act of turning his blade and schemes against companions who saw him as family truly made Cifer sick!
The timeline was still early, and he hadn't betrayed the Whitebeard Pirates yet. Nothing had happened, and Cifer was just a bystander. It was impossible for him to tell Whitebeard that he had a son who would ruin their pirate crew.
Cifer silently walked to an unnoticed corner and sat down to enjoy his skewer. A moment later, a massive figure loomed over him.
"Little brat Cifer, you seem troubled. Not even enjoying the feast," Whitebeard said, sitting down next to Cifer with his large sake jug, speaking like an elder. "If you don't mind, you can tell me about it."
Looking into Whitebeard's eyes, Cifer put down his skewer. "Mr. Whitebeard, would you believe me if I told you I have the ability to foresee the future?"
"Observation Haki that can foresee the future? There are indeed people like that~" Whitebeard nonchalantly drank his sake, but Cifer's next words stunned him.
"It's not Observation Haki, it's seeing a vague future!" Cifer's dark green eyes stared intently into Whitebeard's. "Today, I saw the future of your pirate crew. Not long from now, the Whitebeard Pirates will experience a very serious bloody incident because of something called the Dark-Dark Fruit!"
Of course, Cifer couldn't reveal the exact details. Being too precise would make him seem like he had ulterior motives. He could only vaguely mention that it was because of a fruit. If Whitebeard took it seriously, that would be for the best.
"The Dark-Dark Fruit?" Whitebeard fell into thought. "I'll keep an eye out, little brat Cifer."
If only that were the case! Cifer casually glanced into the distance, the boundless ocean still stretching out. Looking back, the warmth from the bonfire feast made Cifer pause for a moment.
Since I have the power, I should change things! This world! Although Cifer didn't have the power to overthrow the entire World Government at this moment, changing some of the plot was still effortless!
