Background / History

Cifer was originally an orphan who was watching Bleach before unexpectedly transmigrating into the One Piece world in a body resembling Ulquiorra's. He chose to use the name “Ulquiorra Cifer,” while initially struggling to understand his altered body, immense strength, and Hollow-like traits 1.

He first fell near the Whitebeard Pirates' Moby Dick, where he destroyed a Sea King and met Whitebeard, Marco, Ace, and Marshall D. Teach. Cifer declined Whitebeard's offer to become one of his sons, but warned Whitebeard about a future incident involving the Dark-Dark Fruit 1. He subsequently fought Ace and Whitebeard to gauge his own strength, unveiling his Resurrección during the confrontation 2 3.

Cifer later learned that his body was not simply Ulquiorra's original body: his blood is dark green, he possesses no heart, and he can suppress his Spiritual Pressure until even Observation Haki cannot detect him 12 100.
