Lin Ke had come to the shopping district in casual clothes for the first time in a long while, and he felt a slight sense of temporal dislocation.
Yesterday, he had been trekking through deep forests and open wilderness, fighting for his life. Today, he was standing on a street no different from a modern city, buying clothes.
Steadying himself, he headed straight to a clothing store. He decisively picked out several larger outfits, tried them on briefly, and bought them without hesitation once he found the prices reasonable. There was none of the usual browsing and comparing.
For now, he was fairly satisfied with his style of dress. The only reason he needed new clothes was that his old ones had become too tight.
But there was a new problem: the larger clothes were a little too long on him...

Tilting his gaze slightly, he finally saw the newcomer: a woman with purple hair tied into a Nara-style pineapple ponytail, a familiar smile on her face, and a brown trench coat draped over her shoulders.
