Don't disturb this place's master?
Crested Ibis Demon Monarch looked around. Within the crimson flames in every direction, threads of golden fire danced without cease. Those golden flames seemed alive, as though countless laws entwined around them, making space itself tremble between birth and destruction.
Fire Crow continued, "Once I help you refine this plume, leave at once. Do not linger."
Crested Ibis Demon Monarch nodded repeatedly. "Rest assured. Once I refine the Phoenix Plume, I'll leave immediately."
As she spoke, Crested Ibis Demon Monarch asked uneasily, "It's just that this Phoenix Plume is of an exceptionally high grade. If I refine it, won't this place's master be disturbed?"
Fire Crow looked at Crested Ibis Demon Monarch in surprise. "It's only a phoenix feather. No matter how high its grade is, what does that amount to? How could that One possibly care about such a thing?"
"What do you take that One for?"
Crested Ibis Demon Monarch was equally puzzled. "The Phoenix Plume should be extraordinarily useful to a Golden Crow as well. How could this place's master possibly look down on it?!"
A Golden Crow?!
Fire Crow froze. Seeing his expression, Crested Ibis Demon Monarch realized something was wrong. "Fire Crow, are you saying this place's master isn't a Golden Crow?"
Fire Crow shook his head. "This is the Great Sun Star. There is only one master here. How could it be a Golden Crow?"
Crested Ibis Demon Monarch's heart jolted. "Then this sea of fire?"
"This sea of fire is where I dwell," Fire Crow said. "Though I am not a pure-blooded Golden Crow, I still have my own nest upon the Great Sun Star, where I may live and rest."
"And that is also with that One's permission."
The master of the Great Sun Star.
That One.
