The morning after the war ended, Carlos got up and happily devoured a lavish breakfast.
Kelly was truly an excellent cook. Even breakfast came in countless varieties and tasted wonderful. Carlos especially loved the ramen Kelly made—the noodles were smooth and springy, and, most importantly, the flavor was bold: spicy, numbing, fresh, and fragrant. It suited Carlos's tastes perfectly.
Although Carlos was not picky about food, he still had his preferred flavors.
After breakfast, Carlos summoned his men and gave them some instructions before dismissing them all, leaving only Degu, who had just submitted to him.
Alone in a room with Carlos, the burly man who had eaten a Zoan Devil Fruit was somewhat nervous.
"Come with me. We're heading to Maglin Island."
"Boss, what are we going to Maglin Island for?" Degu asked uneasily.
"Heh... what for? Of course, we're going to strike back and take the initiative!"
"Am I supposed to wait for the John Family to gather their experts and a large force to come kill me?" Carlos chuckled, as if it were only natural.
Degu swallowed hard, feeling as though he had boarded a pirate ship. Was Carlos really that unconcerned about the John Family?
From the sound of it, he wanted to take down the John Family all by himself?
His future looked utterly bleak!
Carlos rose and walked over to Degu. His eyes changed into Kamui Mangekyo, and he placed his right hand on Degu's shoulder. Degu's body trembled, not understanding what was happening. What did this mean? He couldn't be thinking of that...
He was a straight man of steel. Whether he was the top or the bottom, he had no interest at all...
Carlos had no idea what Degu was thinking. If he did, he would probably have been so furious
