Background / History

Zhu Clan upbringing and engagement

Zhu Zhuyun is raised to assist a Dai Family prince in the struggle for the throne and eventually become Empress. Dai Weisi reserves the Demon King Team’s agility-attack position for her before her awakening, expecting their engagement to follow it 11 12 22.

At six years old, shortly after their engagement, she receives the Narcissus Jade Bone from Dai Weisi. Afterward, Liu Yunying’s teasing provokes her into an unsuccessful attack; Dai Weisi reminds her to assess an opponent’s strength and never attack teammates. He later teaches her the Nine Yin Manual when she turns eight 22 26.

Managing Dai Weisi’s estate

Following news of Dai Weisi’s apparent death, Zhu Zhuyun shoulders the affairs of the First Prince’s Estate while maintaining her cultivation. During his nearly three-year absence, she also trains with her aunt, Empress Zhu Zitang, and reaches level 60 65.

Their reunion in Nine Spirits Palace brings an immediate embrace, followed by anger over his unexplained disappearance and rumored relationships. Dai Weisi apologizes and subsequently helps her obtain the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger’s soul ring 65 66 67.

Ocean training and campaigns

Under Gu Youlong’s command, Zhu Zhuyun undergoes intensive ocean-combat training with the Demon King Team. Despite an instinctive aversion to seawater, she overcomes the barrier by the third day and becomes more agile underwater than many Sea Soul Masters 111.

During the pirate campaign, she takes responsibility for a Soul Sage opponent while Gu Shouchang engages the enemy leader. Against Black Shark, Li Yang’s spatial abilities allow her and her companions to return unharmed after being engulfed by a massive wave 113 115.

She later helps intercept the fleeing Deep Sea Demonic Whale King. By combining her Martial Soul Avatar with Dai Weisi’s, she contributes to their enhanced Hell White Tiger fusion 124.

Nether Sea and divine inheritance

After cultivating at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Zhu Zhuyun travels with Dai Weisi and Dugu Yan to hunt her ninth soul ring. Dugu Yan mortally wounds the Nether Sea Octopus, allowing Zhu Zhuyun to finish it and absorb its ring and bone. The resulting breakthrough raises her to level 94 and evolves her martial soul 131 132 134.

A divine weapon then attempts to bewitch her with promises of godhood and eternal companionship with Dai Weisi. She breaks its influence and attacks the remnant soul inside it. The soul identifies itself as Harvey, a failed Death God candidate imprisoned in the Scythe of Death 134.

With Dai Weisi’s encouragement, she accepts the Death God’s inheritance. Her black pearl repairs the weapon, earning exceptional favor from the god. She begins the eighth trial with Harvey and the Nether Sea Octopus under her control, then announces her intention to help the Demon King Team obtain powerful ninth soul rings 135.

Spirit City intervention

Zhu Zhuyun watches the tournament finals alongside Dai Weisi and Dugu Yan, commenting on her younger sister Zhu Zhuqing’s martial arts. Her outwardly cold demeanor conceals deep affection and vulnerability. Dai Weisi’s long absence burdens her emotionally as well as administratively, and his return brings both overwhelming relief and playful anger.
