Wang Chen landed on Senhai Star under the cover identity of a major staff officer and provost marshal, sent to investigate Rebel Forces after a deadly uprising at Yinsen Base. He arrived at the Empire’s last stronghold on the planet and met its commander, Meng Liangao, as he began his mission.

• Wang Chen waited for a Safe Window to open, then descended through Senhai Star’s dangerous atmosphere and landed at Yinsen Base.
• Wang Chen arrived under his assigned Imperial Military Department identity, replacing a predecessor who had died during a Rebel Forces uprising a month earlier.

Wang Chen arrived on Senhai Star, where he endured a welcoming banquet hosted by Meng Liangao and took up his post as provost marshal of the Senhai First Mechanized Infantry Regiment. After half a month of learning the unit’s situation, he remained isolated and regarded with suspicion by its personnel.

• Meng Liangao welcomed Wang Chen with Jade Fruit Wine in Yinsen Underground City and tried to draw him into further entertainment, but Wang Chen stayed sober and declined to take any women back to his hotel.
• Wang Chen met the regiment’s military police unit at the surface base and found that only seventy-four of its hundred authorized personnel remained, with many treating him warily.
• Wang Chen gradually familiarized himself with his duties and the regiment’s internal situation instead of immediately investigating the Rebel Forces.

• Wang Chen rejected Meng Liangao’s plan to settle the matter through negotiations with Tao Zhenrong and chose to act on his own.
• Wang Chen incapacitated the entrance guard and three lobby guards, then collected their weapons, including newly made gunpowder pistols.
• Wang Chen rode the elevator toward the top floor, but it stopped at the twenty-third floor after the lights went out.
• Wang Chen broke out of the elevator and killed the armed guards who attacked him, leaving one guard alive.

Wang Chen stormed Tao Zhenrong’s residence and demanded intelligence about the Rebel Forces after defeating the president of the Senhai Miner Mutual Aid Society and his guards. Tao Zhenrong refused to cooperate, and Wang Chen decided he had plenty of time to make him talk.

• Wang Chen kicked open Tao Zhenrong’s door and stopped a barrage of bullets with an invisible force.
• Wang Chen returned the bullets and crushed the armed men who survived, then killed a female assassin who attacked him from behind.
• Tao Zhenrong revealed himself to be an A-Class Combatant and charged Wang Chen with a powerful blade strike.
• Wang Chen caught Tao Zhenrong’s blade with two fingers, knocked him down, and held the weapon to his throat.
• Wang Chen demanded information about the Rebel Forces and offered to spare Tao Zhenrong if he cooperated.

With Tao Zhenrong taken out and their communications cut, the forces inside the building stood on the brink of a clash as Meng Liangao turned to Wang Chen for help.

• Wang Chen killed the heavily armored machine gunner and continued through the rebels’ mine tunnels on foot.
