After breaking with Nanshao's authorities and killing Guiyuan Sect cultivators, he turned to defend the city from the Maitreya Cult.

• Wang Chen arrived in Nanshao, punished the corrupt mansion staff, compensated their victims, and gave Xiao Wan pills that helped her reach the Innate realm.

After secretly claiming Liu Yingxiu’s Wind Thunder Sword, he spent months lying low, then found Dongwu Stockade under new and harsher rule.

• Wang Chen defeated Cao Chengping, left Great Qian, and crossed the Great Marsh, where he unsealed the Grand Mystic Mirage Dragon True Form Diagram and learned the Mystic Mirage Dragon Art.
• Wang Chen returned to Yunyang City, found the former Yunyang territory under Guiyuan Sect control, and reunited with Changchun, who revealed himself as a Golden Core True Person before vanishing after a clash with Guiyuan Sect.
• Wang Chen settled in Dongwu Stockade, sought a substitute for Vajra Butter, and began using Auntie Lu’s Dragon Tiger Strength Soup to support his body-refinement cultivation.
• Wang Chen killed Liu Yingxiu of Five Peaks Mountain after she pursued him, then returned to Dongwu Stockade wounded and secretly claimed her Wind Thunder Sword.

After defeating the Golden Snake Gentleman and escaping Dongwu Stockade, he traveled to Myriad Cultivator City seeking resources for his next breakthrough.

• Wang Chen refused to pay Zhu Xiaohu’s gambling debt, then killed the Three Rivers Society cultivators at Changle Gambling House and took their Spirit Stones.
• After Zhu Xiaohu’s family died and an Evil Spirit attacked him, Wang Chen destroyed the spirit and later lent Chen Qi grain as winter shortages worsened.
• Wang Chen left Dongwu Stockade in disguise and cultivated Five Suns Dry Thunder beneath Wind Thunder Valley, then killed Five Peaks Mountain cultivators and claimed to be Zhao Wuji of Guiyuan Sect.

Wang Chen built his talisman business in Myriad Cultivator City, broke through to the Purple Mansion realm, and left aboard the Giant Whale for Flying Immortal City. After preparing a hidden home near Jade Dragon Mountain, he faced the winter beast tide when a Crimson Earth Beast discovered his cave.

• Wang Chen rented a home from Madam Ye, earned Spirit Stones selling talismans, and taught Ye Feifan martial arts while resisting recruitment and intimidation from powerful families.
• Wang Chen defeated challengers on the Life-and-Death Platform, then broke through to the Purple Mansion realm after using Heavenly Merit to open his stubborn Heavenly Crown acupoint.
• Wang Chen refused to join the Qiu Clan, bought new techniques, and returned to find Tian Zhi and Madam Ye married.
