Background / History

Tang San appears in the God Realm as the Sea God, wearing blue robes and possessing long blue hair. He senses Huo Yuhao's emergence on the Douluo Continent as a new “star,” but an unknown mist prevents him from discerning Huo Yuhao's fate. He is also concerned by the Tang Sect's decline and is troubled when the connection between the God Realm and Douluo Star is severed 2.

In Huo Yuhao's recollection, Tang San had previously placed Divine Sense within Wang Dong'er's Spiritual Sea and secretly influenced Huo Yuhao after detecting him there. Huo Yuhao later identifies this interference as an attempt to alter his life and detach him from his original self 5.

Tang San's connection to the Tang Sect extends beyond its founding. Huo Yuhao concludes that Tang Ya's Blue Silver Emperor bloodline could only have originated from arrangements involving Tang San's parents, Tang Hao and Ah Yin, who remained on Douluo Star 199. Tang Ya later recognizes Tang San as the figure who founded the sect whose history shaped her life 350.

When the Valley of Questions and Love becomes active, Tang San dispatches a strengthened Divine Sense Clone to Douluo Star to regain control of the situation and investigate the period during which the plane was sealed 280 281. Huo Yuhao confronts this clone, accusing Tang San of manipulating his life and using Wang Dong'er as a pawn. Wang Dong'er ultimately destroys the clone herself with the Signal Axe, severing her ties with Tang San as her biological father 285 286.

The clone's destruction severely damages Tang San's true body and increases the God of Destruction's suspicion toward him. Tang San refrains from further immediate action because the God of Destruction is watching him closely 287.

After Huo Yuhao transforms Douluo Star into the Eternal Plane and breaks it free from Divine Realm control, Tang San is summoned before the God of Destruction. Although Tang San denies responsibility, he realizes that Huo Yuhao may be behind the plane's escape from Divine Realm authority 348.

Huo Yuhao later enters the Divine Realm with Beast Gods, allies, and mechas to confront Tang San directly. Tang San's divine techniques, martial souls, and ultimate attacks all fail to overcome Huo Yuhao, leaving him increasingly desperate and willing to endanger even his own allies to secure victory 350 352 353.

After being defeated and mentally tormented through illusions of his past, Tang San is disrupted by Xuanwei's intervention. Xuanwei injects an unknown substance into him, causing Tang San to absorb the First Generation Sea God and First Generation Asura God and transform into the monstrous Tang Demon 357 358. Huo Yuhao ultimately destroys Tang Demon and burns Tang San's remains 359.

Tang San's standard divine appearance is defined by luxurious blue robes and long blue hair described as cascading like a waterfall 2.

His conflict with Huo Yuhao reveals a controlling and manipulative side. Tang San leaves Divine Sense within Wang Dong'er, attempts to claim the Power of Destiny in her Spiritual Sea, and offers Huo Yuhao godhood and power in exchange for his clone's release 174 286.

Under pressure, Tang San becomes increasingly reckless. During the Divine Realm battle, he is willing to use large-scale attacks despite the risk to gods and allies fighting under his command, and he secretly draws on the God Realm Core for his Asura Blood Sword 352 353.
