"Lord Hokage!"

Might Guy, Kurenai Yuhi, and Kakashi Hatake greeted Tsunade.

Unless it was wartime or the Anbu, ninja did not need to kneel on one knee when facing the Hokage. As for Ebisu, he had known he was at fault and had been scared, which was why he had knelt.

Now that Kakashi had mostly recovered, and the Sharingan's suppression of his body had lessened, he felt light all over, like a man who had jerked off too much and finally regained his vitality.

He was full of energy.

"Tomorrow, I'm going to the Daimyo's Mansion. Guy and Kurenai will lead the escort. Kakashi, you will remain at the Hokage Building. Shizune will handle the official work. If anyone causes trouble, you may act first and report afterward."

"Yes!"

Though he did not know why Tsunade was leaving him behind, Kakashi obeyed.

In Kakashi's estimation, as long as Guy and he escorted Tsunade to the Daimyo's Mansion, everything would be fine. The three of them could be called Hidden Leaf Village's current strongest fighting force.

"Kurenai, you will lead Aoba Yamashiro and Genma Shiranui. Gather at the Hidden Leaf Village gates early tomorrow morning. As for your current squad, you can have them take some D-rank missions or train at home."

Kurenai Yuhi had no objections.

Being able to escort Tsunade to report to the Daimyo was itself an honor.

To be honest, part of the reason Kurenai Yuhi had become a jonin was her father's legacy. Another part was that Asuma had feelings for her, and the Third Hokage had deliberately promoted her to assist Asuma.

In terms of strength, Kurenai Yuhi could only be considered passable. She was nowhere near Elite Jonin like Kakashi and Might Guy.

"Might Guy, you will lead Kotetsu Hagane and Izumo Kamizuki. Gather at the gates tomorrow morning. As for your students, Rock Lee will continue recuperating in the hospital, while Neji and Tenten will guard the gates. Any problems?"

"No problem!"

Might Guy answered quickly.

Tsunade had saved both his best friend and his direct disciple. Forget escorting her to the Daimyo's Mansion—even if she were going into a dragon's den or tiger's lair, he would not be afraid.

"Kakashi, your body has only just recovered, so you are not suited for a long journey. Shizune and Shikaku will handle the village's clerical affairs. You will temporarily command the Anbu. If you discover anything unusual, you may act directly."

There truly were not many powerful people in Hidden Leaf Village whom Tsunade could trust.

After considering it, Tsunade decided to place this responsibility on Kakashi.

"Lady Tsunade, isn't Lord Jiraiya teaching Naruto? This sort of matter can be left to him," Kakashi asked in confusion.

At the mention of Jiraiya, several dark lines appeared on Tsunade's forehead.

"Don't mention him. Recently, the owners of Hidden Leaf Village's bathhouses have been coming to complain every day. You may like reading, but your character is still trustworthy. I don't want the village's image to be affected by this."

All right!

Thinking of Jiraiya's character, Kakashi had nothing more to say.

Jiraiya's peeping was already history. With his current strength, how could ordinary bathhouse owners possibly detect him? However, ever since he had appeared recently, the number of customers at Hidden Leaf Village's women's bathhouses had dropped sharply. So whether Jiraiya had peeked or not, they reported him anyway.

The Hyuga, Aburame, and Inuzuka clans were all staunch supporters of Hidden Leaf Village, so Tsunade was not worried that they would have any bad intentions.

As the three left, Tsunade also let out a sigh of relief.

Everything was ready; all she lacked was the east wind.

Only with a stable rear could she better handle the Daimyo at the front.

The Daimyo had once supported Hidden Leaf Village without hesitation, yet problems had arisen after she took office. There had to be something fishy going on. If it came to fighting, Tsunade alone could turn the Daimyo's Mansion upside down.

The problem was the Daimyo's status. If she acted, she would no longer be Hokage and might even become a Rogue Ninja.

None of the Five Great Nations could tolerate such a presence.

Now that they're all gone, I want to go back and sleep too.

Speaking of which, should I buy some local specialties on my first trip to the Daimyo's Mansion?

I'll give one to Izumo Kamizuki too, so that guy will stop clinging to my brother every day and give him some time to relax properly.
