The people in the Mission Hall discussed animatedly.
Under countless watchful eyes, Fan Lang walked up to a glowing sphere. It was a military light spirit connected to the military's internal network, capable of accepting and assigning all kinds of military missions.
"Blade Edge Battalion Commander Fan Lang has come to accept a mission. I request approval from my superiors."
Fan Lang pressed his fingertip against the glowing sphere and sent his thoughts into it. He soon received feedback as various options appeared before him—military missions of different levels and types.
He had only two requirements for this mission. First, it had to be carried out within the Armor Whisker Bug Nest. Second, it had to have a sufficiently long time limit, allowing him freedom of movement.
Using those two requirements as his starting point, he quickly found a suitable exploration mission.
This mission was very simple.
A vast patch of fog had appeared within the Armor Whisker Bug Nest, blocking all kinds of long-range observation methods. Someone had to personally investigate it to determine what was inside.
There might have been something suspicious within that fog. It was neither a major issue nor a trivial one.
The mission required infiltrating the Armor Whisker Bug Nest through a hidden spatial passage, investigating the fog, and transmitting the findings back.
As an investigation mission, its difficulty and rating were both quite low, and its reward naturally matched.
