Nature

A Soul Master is an individual who can cultivate Soul Power through an awakened Martial Soul. Martial Souls are divided into Tool Martial Souls and Beast Martial Souls; plants are classified as Tool Martial Souls, while Beast Martial Souls strengthen the user through Martial Soul Possession. 496

Tian Hao describes a Martial Soul as a companion soul sharing one body with its owner. Under this view, a Soul Master is effectively “two souls in one body”: their own soul and the Martial Soul, which possesses instincts and can be nurtured toward greater integration. 34

• Tool Martial Soul — Manifests as an object, weapon, plant, or similar form; its development and Soul Skills are heavily shaped by Soul Ring selection. 496 553

Soul Rings

Soul Rings provide Soul Power, Soul Skills, and a means of advancing through rank bottlenecks. A failed absorption is normally fatal: violent Soul Power destroys the absorber’s internal organs. 3

A Soul Ring and Martial Soul influence each other during refinement. The Martial Soul Origin enters the ring to shape a Soul Skill suitable for its owner, while the ring’s Origin alters the Martial Soul with traits from its Soul Beast source. A powerful ring can forcibly change a weak Martial Soul rather than improve it cleanly. 351 653

Seventh Soul Ring

The seventh Soul Ring is distinct from ordinary rings: it stimulates Martial Soul Origin and produces the Martial Soul Avatar regardless of the Soul Beast used. Selecting a highly compatible Soul Beast improves the resulting Avatar and can trigger mutation or evolution. 469 481 538

Soul Skills

Ring-Derived Soul Skills

Soul Skills are formed by combining a Soul Beast’s innate ability with the user’s Martial Soul. Their final form is therefore not a direct copy of the Soul Beast’s power, but an ability expressed through the user’s Martial Soul. 529 653

Tian Hao’s research proposes separating a Soul Beast’s Origin and innate traits, storing the Origin in Blank Soul Rings, then inserting selected traits to create specific Soul Skills. 36 43
