Background / History

Tang San retains memories of a past life as a Tang Sect disciple. He enters the Soul Master world already versed in hidden weapons, poison, forging, and Tang Sect secret arts, while aspiring to reach the combat heights shown by Soul Masters in Spirit Hall records 496.

He awakens Blue Silver Grass with Innate Full Soul Power. The apparently ordinary Martial Soul is anomalous, and his concealed second Martial Soul manifests as a pitch-black Clear Sky Hammer 496 497. His body is also strengthened from childhood by the bloodline power continuously released from A Wu’s soul bone in his right leg 511.

Tang San enrolls at Notting Junior Soul Master Academy with Old Jack and Xiao Lan. After protecting Old Jack from the gatekeeper, he meets Yu Xiaogang, who identifies him as a Twin Martial Soul owner and eventually becomes his teacher 497 498. Tang San accepts cautiously, recognizing that exposure of his Twin Martial Souls could endanger him 498.

Later revelations complicate his identity. Tang Yuehua states that he is not Tang Hao and Ah Yin’s son, but an entity possessing a body from another realm 684. Tian Hao subsequently identifies him as the reincarnation of the God of Creation, implying that the Asura God’s arrangements were part of a larger design 786.

Personality

Tang San is reserved, observant, and highly cautious about revealing his abilities. He initially treats accepting a master as a lifelong commitment and evaluates Yu Xiaogang before agreeing to become his disciple 498. He guards his Twin Martial Soul secret, Tang Sect arts, and hidden weapons closely 498 512.

His combat mindset is pragmatic and often ruthless. He is calm after killing Tang Hao in self-defense, a composure attributed to his past-life experience with killing 499. He relies on preparation, poison, concealed weapons, and terrain control, though setbacks repeatedly expose the limitations of his Blue Silver Grass development 587 606 609.

Tang San is intensely protective of Xiao Wu, but can lose control when she is gravely injured. His rage over her injuries leads him to expose the Clear Sky Hammer and, on another occasion, to frenzy before Jing Ling severs his Eight Spider Lances 557 615.

Appearance

Tang San is first depicted as a short young boy. His most conspicuous physical traits emerge through his martial souls and soul bones.

  • Manifests a small, pitch-black Clear Sky Hammer with a heavy, oppressive aura 497.
  • Possesses purple eyes from cultivating the Purple Demon Eyes 565.
  • Can manifest the Eight Spider Lances external soul bone from his back 568.
  • His Blue Silver Grass later mutates into the Blue Silver Overlord Spear, then the Blue Silver Tyrant God Spear 650 681.

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

Tang San possesses Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer, granting him two separate martial-soul foundations and compatibility with multiple divine inheritances 497 518.

  • Blue Silver Grass — Developed as a Control System Martial Soul, though its mixed aura and ring choices are criticized by Teacher Yue 556.
  • Clear Sky Hammer — His second Martial Soul; used with hammer techniques when Blue Silver Grass control proves insufficient 497 557.

  • His spiritual power is assessed as comparable to a Soul Saint’s during combat analysis 565.
  • Enhanced by the Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew to the technique’s limit and beyond 643.
  • His rapid progress is attributed in part to God Realm divine-sense influence 550.

Tang Sect Secret Arts

Tang San brings a complete system of martial techniques from his previous life, though he withholds its core secrets from Yu Xiaogang 512.

  • Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track — Footwork capable of evading rapid attacks that should overwhelm a Control System Soul Master 594.
  • Mysterious Heaven Skill — His core internal cultivation method; consumed and crippled during the Blue Silver Overlord Spear mutation 651.
  • Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer / Dance — Hammering technique used for forging, body tempering, momentum accumulation, and combat 497 606.
  • Fusion Ring — Teacher Yue instructs him that his existing Blue Silver Grass path can be deeply developed by combining soul-ring skills 556.

Eight Spider Lances

An external soul bone obtained from a Man Faced Demon Spider while refining his third soul ring 568.

  • Carries deadly spider venom and a powerful devouring effect 568.
  • Functions as an offensive defense while Tang San accumulates Clear Sky Hammer momentum 606.
  • Can regenerate after being broken, though repeated destruction causes immense pain 587.
  • Is severed in battles by Meng Yiran, Huang Yuan, and Jing Ling 587 594 615.

Blue Silver Control Skills

Tang San’s Blue Silver Grass techniques focus on restraint, area control, and defensive cages.

  • Entanglement — Binding vines used to restrain enemies 580.
  • Blue Silver Cage — A fourth soul skill capable of creating multiple cages for group control or personal defense 580.
  • Blue Silver Thorn Array — An attempted trapping formation that Jing Ling evades 606.
  • His control techniques struggle against opponents with superior speed, sharp weapons, or evolved martial souls 606 609 611.

Divine Inheritances

Tang San is cultivated as a successor for both Sea God and Asura God powers.

  • Receives the Sea God’s Trident Imprint, which is polluted by the Fierce Orca King’s soul ring and turns blood-red 668.
  • Uses Asura God-given soul rings to advance to Level 99 673.
