Rumble, rumble!
The bubble bike's tires rolled over the springy turf tangled with tree roots, making a soft sound.
On the only road leading to Town No. 12, where the Straw Hat Pirates were located,
a group of pirates dressed in black robes stood there as if waiting for something.
"Captain, are we really going to keep waiting here? A Marine Admiral has already arrived at the Sabaody Archipelago. Captain, if we don't leave now, we won't be able to get away!"
A pirate with a shaved head and a braided pigtail spoke anxiously as he listened to the sounds of chaos in the distance.
"There is no need to rush. The outcome of fate has already been decided. If we wish to leave this island alive, then the next person to pass down this road will be the turning point in all our destinies."
Sitting on a tree-stump bench by the roadside, Hawkins looked utterly indifferent, as though everything was under his control.
"But, Captain—"
Before he could finish,
the pirate wisely shut his mouth beneath Hawkins's cold gaze.
He knew he had overstepped just now. On a pirate ship, rank and status were extremely important.
On a pirate ship, the captain was the absolute authority. When it came to the captain's decisions, the other crew members could only offer their full support.
Clearly, he had crossed the line. If Hawkins had been a captain with a worse temper, he might have been dead already.
Lowering his head, he retreated in shame.
"He's here!"
Hawkins suddenly spoke, causing all his pirate subordinates to turn their eyes toward the middle of the road.
Roy was riding a bubble bike leisurely down the road.
Judging by his appearance, Roy looked very much like the spoiled young master of a wealthy family.
