When Extreme Dao announced that the Seize Dao mission had begun, Chi Yu left the world and arrived at Hong Mi Heaven, where Ancestor Hong sensed his approach.

After waiting ten thousand years, Chi Yu received missions in the Soul Beast World and entered it as a mysterious first-rank Soul Beast called Kui Huang. He helped an Ant colony fend off Bee Soul Beasts, but after the Ant Queen died, he left the colony and advanced to the second rank alone.

• After the Data Center assigned five missions, Chi Yu entered the Soul Beast World inside a giant egg and emerged as Kui Huang, a first-rank Soul Beast.
• Chi Yu met the Ant Queen and temporarily lived and foraged with her colony.
• Bee Soul Beasts attacked the ant castle and stole ant eggs, but Chi Yu used corrosion and Spirit Conversion Devour to defeat them.
• The Ant Queen died from her injuries, and the Ant Soldiers buried her before leaving to establish a new nest.

Chi Yu killed the Golden Wing King, left the depleted Spirit Spring with Shu Da, and traveled into the wider basin. He settled in the Python Soul Beast territory, where Princess Mang Lin misunderstood his request to cultivate their feelings and kept trying to coil around him.

• Chi Yu and Shu Da followed the young Soul Beasts to the Golden Wing King's tree hollow, where Chi Yu swallowed the Golden Wing King and dissolved the other Soul Beasts with corrosive liquid; Shu Da killed the guards.
• After three years, Chi Yu discovered the Spirit Spring had lost its effect, so he and Shu Da left the hundred-mile area for the basin beyond it.
