Next, she settled Li Tianming, Zi Zhen, and Weisheng Moran down in the Liu Residence.
Through their conversation, Li Tianming learned that her name was "Fu Lizi." It sounded like she came from humble origins as well, from Star Dock, a town near the Imperial Ruins. In her early years, she had even entered the God Tomb Cult, but had been eliminated after failing to meet the assessment standards.
However, she had happened to meet Advisor Liu and transformed herself in one leap into the mistress of the Liu Residence. Her son and daughter-in-law were both older than she was, yet she lived a most comfortable life and was respected everywhere she went.
She even stressed to Li Tianming that she had merely been born into a lowly background. Otherwise, with her youthful beauty and the fact that she had entered the God Tomb Cult, plenty of people would have fought over her.
In any case, she sure had a lot to say!
And Li Tianming needed someone like that too, someone from whom he could gather more information about the situation and the God Tomb Cult.
Thus, while White Wind went to the Yuwen Divine Residence and the Military God Vortex to brave danger, Li Tianming sat across from Fu Lizi in the courtyard, brewed tea for his master's wife, and made her laugh, presenting a picture of peaceful, idyllic days.
In the neighboring courtyard, Zi Zhen lay atop the wall, watching as she quietly cursed, "What a bastard. Is another man's wife really more fragrant?"
"Don't talk nonsense. He's mainly taking the opportunity to learn more about the situation," Weisheng Moran said calmly.
"All excuses!" Zi Zhen snorted.
And so, as time passed, word spread through the Liu Residence that the master had taken in three new disciples.
