Background / History

Primarchs are described as the pinnacle masterpieces of genetic engineering. The Sangprimus Portum preserves genetic records for twenty-one Primarchs, while their genetic and Warp-linked connection to their progeny makes them central to the identity and stability of their Legions 265.

Following the disappearances of Rogal Dorn, Corvus Corax, Jaghatai Khan, Leman Russ, and Vulkan, the era of the Primarchs was considered over. Their absence left Belisarius Cawl with a large stockpile of Primaris Space Marines and associated equipment that could not be openly deployed in the existing Imperium 103.

The appearance of the Wings of Dawn—Romulus, Arthur, Ramesses, and Karna—reintroduced Primarch leadership to the Imperium. Their presence became a source of political authority, military coordination, and hope for Imperial forces 206 302.
