"Senior Brother Kuntu, he isn't a man-fiend. Don't you think it's going too far for you to keep shouting about killing him?" Chen Wan frowned and could not help speaking up.
"He's nothing more than a furred beast slave. He only has himself to blame for speaking without restraint and courting death." Kuntu glared at Yuan Ming.
"Enough, don't waste time here. Let him lead the way. We need to find the Man-Fiend King quickly. As long as we kill it, this trial will count as completing our task beyond expectations. We might even have a chance to advance to the inner sect." The tall young man smiled.
"There are no forks in this passage. Just keep going inward, and you won't lose your way," Yuan Ming said at once.
The tall young man's smile vanished. Baring his teeth, he said, "If you won't lead the way, then you're no longer of any use. Killing you would be fine too."
Hearing this, Yuan Ming could only agree.
He took a torch from someone's hand, walked at the very front of the group, and led everyone back.
After walking for a long time, as they neared that cavern, everyone gradually caught the smell of blood and rot permeating the air. Without realizing it, they quieted down and began to grow silent.
Apart from Yuan Ming, this group had seventeen or eighteen people. They all seemed to be outstanding among the Registered Disciples. They could be called numerous and powerful; though somewhat arrogant, none of them were fools.
When they arrived at the cavern entrance, they all stopped unconsciously and ordered Yuan Ming to enter first.
Yuan Ming had no choice but to go in ahead of them.
Fortunately, the cavern was empty. The Man-Fiend King had not returned.
