If Renye Became Hokage

Hokage's Office.

"Uncle, why did you call us here?"

Renye had been sunbathing peacefully at home when Tobirama Senju called him over. Shimura Danzō and the others had come along as well.

Everyone looked curiously at Tobirama Senju in the seat of honor, unable to understand what had happened.

"I'm preparing to retire." Tobirama Senju looked at them and said gravely, "I called you here to discuss the successor to the Third Hokage."

The moment those words were spoken, their breathing quickened.

The Third Hokage!

Teacher Tobirama's meaning seemed to be that he intended to choose from among them!

At that thought, they all looked toward Renye, who had nearly put his feet on the desk.

Though this guy was especially much of an idle fish, he was the best candidate for Hokage in every regard.

Of course, that was assuming his culture class grades were left out of the equation.

Shimura Danzō unconsciously clenched his fists.

If only he could become Hokage...

But with Renye around, neither he nor Hiruzen had any chance. They could only wait to compete for the position of Fourth Hokage in the future.

"Which of you wants to become Hokage?"

Tobirama Senju looked at the silent group, his gaze eventually landing on Renye, who was yawning.

The corner of his mouth twitched. This kid was truly unreliable, acting so loose even on an occasion like this.

Shimura Danzō and the others said nothing, occasionally glancing at Renye as he picked his nose and yawned.

"Why are you looking at me?"

Renye belatedly realized something was wrong.

Weren't these people discussing the candidate for Third Hokage?

Why were they all staring at him?!

"Kid, are you willing to become the Third Hokage?" Tobirama Senju coughed lightly.

Renye was recognized by everyone as the best successor
