Within the Hill Ruins' rolling glassy hills, weathered from the remains of ancient behemoths.
Su Bai had been arranged by Great Elder Qi Meng to stay in a circular glass house in an excellent location.
The little house was built on a gentle slope of one hill. By Su Bai's estimation, its position was roughly around the slightly upper-middle section of the imagined giant beast carcass's back.
From the outside, the glass house formed a perfect hemisphere, its smooth surface flowing with a faint iridescence. It blended seamlessly with the glassy texture of the surrounding hills, like a dewdrop condensed by nature itself.
It was also like a dreamy bubble grown upon the behemoth's back, quietly embedded in this ancient land of dreams.
Looking from outside into the house, one could see only a hazy, gleaming wall and could not glimpse the slightest bit of its interior.
Yet from within, the glass walls became exceptionally transparent and clear. The view was completely unobstructed, allowing the outside scenery to be taken in at a glance.
Moreover, due to some light-gathering effect of the glass material, the scenery appeared even sharper and purer than when viewed directly outside, as though covered by a dreamlike filter.
At this moment, Su Bai stood inside the house, quietly admiring the Hill Ruins' unique scenery through the one-way transparent glass wall.
From this height upon the "back," his field of vision was exceptionally broad.
Below lay rolling glassy hills shimmering with a soft glow. The rounded glass houses were scattered among them like pearls strewn across an ancient painting.
In the distance, he could vaguely make out the gathering hall atop the "skull" hill.
In the sky, enormous Memory Jellyfish drifted leisurely past, trailing radiant, multicolored tentacles and leaving dreamlike paths behind them.
A timeless tranquility
