"Pfft!!"
Xiao Xiang's right hand shot out like lightning. Two fingers viciously plunged into A'er's eye sockets, and amid a spray of blood, she forcibly gouged out his two ruined eyeballs.
"Ah—"
A'er clutched his eyes and screamed in agony.
The Demon Eater smiled cruelly and stuffed the eyeballs in her hand into her mouth, chewing them.
"Pfft—"
Her left palm, like an iron skewer, instantly pierced through A'er's throat.
"Thud!"
The tall, imposing A'er collapsed to the ground. His body twitched from time to time, taking in far more breath than he let out—the look of someone who would not live much longer.
"Brother!!"
Caught completely off guard, A'da watched his blood brother die before his very eyes. His eyes nearly split with rage.
The Demon Eater's string of actions sounded complicated, but in truth, they had been incomparably swift.
Even A'da, a Secret Blood Warrior, had been unable to stop her in time.
"I'll kill you, you son of a bitch!"
His palms were like millstones, carrying a howling wind as they smashed furiously toward the smug Demon Eater.
"Master!"
He Zhao looked toward his Cheap Master beside him, only to see the old man shake his head with a pale face.
"The Wailing Bone's Immobilization can't be used a second time within a short period. We can only rely on A'da."
"Can I use it?"
At his disciple's question, the old man shook his head again. At the same time, the look he cast at He Zhao was filled with hesitation and struggle, as though he could not make up his mind about something.
"Your Spirit Power has improved greatly, but you're still far from being able to use the Wailing Bone."
He Zhao: "..."
Fine. Although his Spirit Power was more than ten times stronger than before, this body had cultivated for less than half a year. The little Spirit Power it possessed was pitiful.
Could it be that He the Person is going to wipe out again? Wait, no. The Demon Eater only managed to kill A'er by catching him off guard. During the Campaigning, an Instructor Wu nearly beat her to death bare-handed.
At that thought, He Zhao's expression immediately improved quite a bit.
Then, he saw a pitch-black shadow whoosh through the gap between master and disciple.
"Boom!!"
The wall collapsed, burying a figure beneath the rubble.
"Human fist and foot techniques do have some merit after all." In the kitchen, the Demon Eater giggled sweetly, half her head shattered.
He Zhao: "..."
I almost forgot—this thing could devour memories along with its food.
Instructor Wu's fist and foot skills were no weak matter!!
The thunder buried by the Profound Armor Elite had exploded.
"Whoosh—"
A gust of wind rose. He Zhao looked over and saw his Cheap Master's feet seemingly grow wings as he sprinted madly out of the Inn. He was so fast that several afterimages lingered in the air behind him. Even a rabbit demon would have to weep and call him ancestor upon seeing it.
"???"
"Lesser Mystic, you're not running?"
He Zhao wore a bitter smile. In the previous Simulation Scenario, he had personally witnessed the Demon Eater's speed. Even if his parents had given him two more legs, he still would not be able to escape this Aberration's grasp.
"Why aren't you chasing him?"
Faced with He Zhao's question, the Demon Eater smiled sweetly.
"That old man is dry and shriveled, all woody and old. He doesn't taste good. This concubine prefers tender, smooth-skinned morsels like you, and chewy martial men. Besides, that skull in the old fellow's hand can still be used at least a few more times."
Since she could not catch him, why bother?
With her identity exposed, at worst she could switch to another town and lie low.
So that was it. Cheap Master had not been too weak to use the Sacrificial Vessel—he had simply believed he had no chance of winning, and there was a high probability he would throw his own life away.
And Old Bastard had more than one Immobilizing Wailing Bone. He also had a second Sacrificial Vessel that increased his speed, specifically for escaping.
If you were support, you should have honestly stayed hidden in the rear! Why the hell were you leading people on missions? Didn't our Hetu Dao have a Dao Master with extraordinary strength?
What a goddamn trap!!
"Cough, cough."
A bout of coughing came from the ruins. A'da shoved away the bricks and tiles covering him, glaring viciously at the Demon Eater.
"Demon, today, either you die or I perish!"
He Zhao's eyes immediately lit up. A savior!
Whether he would survive today depended on how well you performed.
Go for it!
A'da's aura surged wildly, and a bloody sheen emerged over his entire body. He looked ready to fight for his life.
The Demon Eater stood on full alert. Humanity, as a species, had created far too many miracles.
If she had not devoured the lead instructor of the Profound Armor Elite last time, she might truly have fallen at the hands of the two brothers today.
"Boom—"
A massive explosion roared without end, but He Zhao stood dumbfounded, not the slightest bit excited.
He watched A'da flee in the opposite direction, getting farther and farther away from him, looking utterly ruined.
Cheap Master was like this. The Secret Blood Warrior was like this too.
Fuck!
A'da, you really are a goddamn talent!
The Demon Eater's expression turned somewhat ugly as well. She had thought he was preparing to fight her to the death, but this was it?
One piece of food had run away. She was very unhappy.
Then her eyes locked tightly onto He Zhao. She was somewhat uneasy, afraid that the remaining tender-skinned Lesser Mystic also had some means of escape.
"Thud!"
He Zhao directly lay down on the ground, looking as though he would let her do whatever she wanted.
"Do whatever the hell you want."
"Come on!"
"If I so much as cry out once, I'll admit you're impressive."
Watching He Zhao smash the Jar and give up, the Demon Eater smiled sweetly. This was the first time she had encountered such an interesting piece of food.
"Don't worry, Lesser Mystic. This concubine will eat you very gently!"
As her words fell, she arrived before He Zhao and slowly reached out to grab him, remaining on guard against any possible attack.
The old man and A'da's successive bizarre maneuvers had truly left the Demon Eater numb.
"Slap!"
He Zhao abruptly seized the Demon Eater's wrist, and fierce savagery blazed in his eyes.
"Lesser Mystic, you don't want to die?"
The Demon Eater finally understood. This little fellow truly had no tricks left, or he would not just be glaring at her.
"Let's die together!"
With that, a vast amount of Spirit Power rapidly gathered in his eyes. A strange ripple spread out, like a massive stone crashing into the surface of a tranquil lake.
The Demon Eater's expression changed. She tried to yank her arm free, but He Zhao gripped it tightly.
"Buzz—"
At the kitchen entrance, the surrounding environment suddenly changed drastically.
All color swiftly drained away, leaving everything gray and decayed, as though it had lain in ruin for countless years.
The blazing midday sun was no longer dazzling. In its place hung a great sun radiating blood-red light, its vicious aura almost tangible as it drifted across the vast, boundless sky.
Yin clouds gathered, and the wailing of all manner of Monsters rose up, stirring an unceasing sense of dread.
It was as though a little lamb had fallen into a wolf's den.
"Where is this?!"
The Demon Eater looked at the abnormalities around her and instinctively shuddered as she asked.
Yet no one answered.
She looked down at He Zhao beneath her, only to discover that the little fellow who had been lying on the ground moments ago had somehow already Escaped. He was fleeing into the distance.
"Go die, you bitch!"
What was “bitch”?
"Boom!"
Before the Demon Eater could wrap her head around it, her entire body suddenly stiffened, and goosebumps rose across her skin.
An Aberration's aura from the very top of the food chain spread through the air, locking firmly onto her.
Trembling, the Demon Eater tilted her head and saw two enormous, lifeless, deathly eyes staring coldly at her.
